West Park Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing & Memory Care

I'm in a nursing home in Columbus West Park, and we're on lockdown because of the virus. I've been here for two years now. Most of the time it's OK, but sometimes it's not. Our room has two beds and a bathroom to share, and that's it. All of us have the same thing. We have activities. Today they have trivia, some days they have exercises, bingo, and jackpot, and very seldom since the shutdowns, they have entertainment. They have a library. They had a beautician, but she hasn't been allowed in for over a year. The only place we can go is from our room to the entertainment room, and we can't go to any part of the building. The pricing is terrible.

Rooms are sufficient in size.Staff is nice and professional.Physical therapists were wonderful.Fod seemed to be good .

My mother is staying at Columbus West Park just down the street from me. We chose it because of its reputation. It's not the most glamorous place, but they have very caring staff and good food, and I feel that she is very safe. We personally know her doctor and some of her nurses, and we're very happy with the place. They do a very good job with the maintenance. They are very clean. My mother is in memory care, she has the freedom to go in a certain area, and it's very well kept. They also have assisted living rooms where individuals or couples can be together, and they have a rehabilitation wing. It was just a good choice all around, but they would need a new building as they're not up-to-date, but it's very homey, very clean, and very well kept for its age. She even got a couple of people where she is at from her church, so she gets to see more than just me. With food, there are a few substitutions, but she is eating better than she would at home, which is something we need to look at for her personally.
