Amazing care with my mother, I couldn’t ask for a better place to help with her.

Dad stayed at Highbanks Care Center. I did not enjoy it at all. They were rude. Once his door shut, he wasn't able to leave. He didn't have much freedom. There was no real communication with anybody. It took me months to speak to a doctor. It just was not the best, but their food looked really good. I think their communication can be a lot better.

A person can only live 2-3 days without water. This place will make someone so "comfortable" they cannot stay alert to eat, or drink, or to even have a conversation with. Please don't admit your loved ones here... wish i could change my mind still about where my mother was.... unfortunately its too late for her.

I really liked Highbanks Care Center. It's very nice, personable, and smaller. The rooms weren't as updated, but they're still nice and had individual showers. There's a bird watching area inside of the building.

Highbanks has had many changes in administration, both Director of Nursing and the Administrator. Although they are new they certainly are not moving in the right direction. My mother is on her third UTI in a month and for some reason it took me to call for them to realize the medication obviously wasn't working. I have arrived at the facility to find my mother on the floor. This is something you never want to see. The nurse didn't seem to worried about it and exclaimed "yea she does that." I wrote a letter to the administrator and after 10 days had no response. As in any place there are people there that are good and people there that are not. The food is poor and the administration staff is poor.

Everything was fine at Highbanks Care Center. My mom shared a room when she was there. They took care of her very well. They had exercise class and a therapy room. They had bingo, cards and art projects. They changed when her needs changed. I was satisfied with how they treated her and she was happy there. I would recommend this facility to others.
