" My Dad lived in this facility from 10/1/21 to 9/5/22 before passing away. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend you consider your loved one living here UNLESS they are fully capable of caring for themselves. This is a not where you want them to live if they need help with hygene, or can not clearly communicate their needs to the staff. We had continuous issues with getting him regular bathing, his laundry done and cleaning of the rooms /bathrooms which are not done on a weekly or even regular basis. MOST importantly, if your loved one is near the end of life, then it's imperative you seek a more appropriate nursing facility as the RN's at this facility would not work easily with or respect the desires of Hospice nor my family when it came to comfort meds. It was a challenge to work with the RN's, who were disrespectful and unsympathetic to my father's declining state. Cypress has a lot of potential to be great, but needs a complete haul over in regards to staffing and resident care."

"I have visited all areas of Warm Beach Senior Community MANY times in my career as an EMT over the past 12 years, I can compare this facility to several others in the area. Overall the residents here seem very happy and there really is a sense of community here. In the nursing area I have been very impressed with the staff. I believe the patients here are very well taken care of by a nursing staff that truly cares. I have recommended this facility to friends who were looking for a suitable home for their mother. There are other similarly equipped facilities in the area that I have been disgusted with on multiple occasions. always do your homework on senior communities and feel free to ask the the local Firefighters/EMS providers about what facilities may be better than others, we get a pretty good inside look "

"My mother is in Regency Care Center now. She needs nursing care 24/7, and they take good care of her. The building itself, I will say is an older unit, but other than that, it is clean and it think it is really great. They have an open dining room, exercise facility, and they do rehabilitation. They have a choice to eat in the dining room or, like my mother, who is basically bedridden, to eat in their rooms. "

"Overall I think it was a good facility, the staff seemed to be knowlegable of the residents. The staff was helpful when asked questions by the nursing students. The amenities were in an older building, some of the resident rooms were too small for two people. It made it difficult to move around, and there was limited space for personal items. The dining hall was a bit cramped. Many of the residents to to the dining hall in wheelchairs, so it was hard for too many wheelchairs to move in and around the dining hall during peak dining times. There is only one shower room, making it sometimes difficult to move a resident in a wheel chair at times. There was limited space for clothing and personal items when showering. Over all the facility was welcoming and friendly, and I would recommend it to friends or family. I would also recommend everyone visit a local facility to see the conditions, good or bad. So to have an understanding of this type of living situation. Thank you. "

"My husband stayed in Shuksan Healthcare Center for almost about two months. I was happy to note that the smell associated with some nursing homes was not there. Instead of carpeting they have vinyl flooring. Another pleasant surprise was that they have a resident dog! He is soo nice and friendly and very well trained. Having the dog there made Shuksan such a homey place. The staff were friendly and helpful and when I was there visiting, they would feed me as well as my husband. Their food wasn't as bland as I expected it to be and most things were very tasty indeed. There was always two or three choices for the meals which was very nice. They also have entertainment and movie night and games and many fun activities for the residents who are up to venturing out of their rooms. "

"I am currently in St. Francis of Bellingham. The nurses are pretty loud talking in the nurses' station. I was talking to my son yesterday and it was an important call and he said "Mommy, turn your TV down. I can't hear you." I said, "I don't have my TV on." He says "Are you on speakerphone?" I said "I am not. I am on my phone. " He called me back and there was no difference. He still could hear all of the background out in the nurse's station. In the mornings, it's really bad, and in the afternoon, the nurses are just there. I think to them, this is just a game. I have bladder issues and they don't answer the call bells fast enough. It is so annoying. The facility itself is nice. I'm actually in a single room and I have my own bathroom. Although I don't have my own shower, you have somebody that gives you showers twice a week. Sometimes you get to miss a week, but that is something I have to get used to (somebody giving me a shower) because sometimes it turns out to be a male. If they're putting on a show, they really know how to do it. When they know my son's coming, they straighten up to the point that he even notices it. At least they know that it's kind of phony. There are some very nice nurses and CNAs around here, though. Breakfast is the only meal that we don't get to order. It automatically comes, and that's the best meal of the day. They come around and take your order for lunch and dinner, and it's not that good. I like that this facility is close to my home. The community here is nice. I got pictures of deer that just showed up in the backyard. They'll lay down and it's like they're serenading you. That's a view that you'll never forget. I got bird feeders hanging out that the birds love. It's right in front of my window. It keeps me entertained."

"The facility was very clean. It has open airy and homey feeling. The staff is always helpful and responsive to family and patience needs. They are caring and loving. "

"I was there for congestive heart failure rehab and while there I got a respiratory infection, a yeast/fungal infection, I became dehydrated, they lied about filing important paperwork, I never saw a doctor, they allowed patients with cognitive disfunction to park their wheelchairs in the halls next to other patient's doors all day long into the evening, I was left on a bedpan for over an hour, it was constantly noisy, day and night, and it always took many days to get anything approved, such as something as simple getting more water or changing an over the counter drug like ibuprofen to acetaminophen. I will say that most of the staff that directly took care of me were kind and friendly, but powerless to have any control over the things mentioned above. The rooms are a good size, but the only communication, when one pushes the nurse call button, is to turn on a light above the door (it's quite an old facility) and they are very understaffed, especially at night."

"The people at Marysville Care Center are very nice and they are taking good care of my mother-in-law. The staff assists her with her physical therapy, getting dress and they give her the everyday assistance she needs. They have activities like Bible studies, Sunday service and they have a craft day, but she didn't participate in them. However, they need to have a little renovation on the bathroom fixtures. "

"I have gone to Mountain View many times during the day and evening to visit loved ones. I have always found the facility clean, smelling good, and family well cared for. Therapists are great and Mountain View is a really happening place. I'm grateful for their attention to detail and care. "

"North Cascades is the best one. The food is delicious. They have a new chef, and I gained a couple of pounds. The nursing staff is very attentive, and they've got the best physical therapy around. They have so many therapists, and they come and see you three times a day. They're very good, and I'm really getting a whole lot better. They have activities four or five times a day. They have movies, bingo, and all kinds of things that you can enjoy. You're never really alone; they let you free. If your friends want to take you out and you're able to go out, you can go out and come back. They're just very good, lenient, and they have watchful eyes. I had open heart surgery, and they filled my every need. It's been great. "
