"My mother passed away from Alzheimer's last October. Highland staff were so amazing. Mom dodn't want to be there, where ever there was. The staff cared for her, looked after her, cherished her in all her stubborn ways. They were wonderful. After she passed, we couldn't find a knitted blankie she was using, that was her granddaughter's favorite blankie. Almost a year later, I received a package in the mail. It was the missing blanket- this shows the caring character of the staff at this facility. Bless them"

"My husband's uncle and aunt have lived at Christian Health Care Center, and they loved it. It's busy and friendly. The room was nice. It's similar to a hospital room, but they had everything very nice for my uncle and aunt. They had everything they needed. They couldn't say enough good things about the place. They loved being there. For what they're getting, it's well worth it. The place looked clean and well-kept. It didn't smell or anything."

"The rooms are large and airy and very homelike especially for my loved one who was there for rehab. The dining room is very much like a home setting and it was especially nice to see all the staff serving the residents like a restaurant. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to get a hold of when needed. Their therapists were also top notch and were key to getting my loved one home stronger."

"We visited Chandler's Square Senior Living Community. We saw independent living, but they also have an associated facility for people who are requiring a little more assistance. Unfortunately, all of these places don't have a lot of space. There's a waiting list for certain kinds of units. They provide a little bit of additional assisted living care, for example, someone to help with medications and things like that. They don't always have a skilled nursing person at the facility except in the assisted living area. Because of Covid, it's difficult to get in and out. Our contact with people, while we were there, was limited to some degree. They provide meals and transportation for independent living. The units were small, but they provide sort of an efficiency apartment and one or two-bedroom type apartments. Unfortunately, the availability of the larger units is pretty limited. I think the waiting list to get on to like a two-bedroom unit would be something like maybe a year or a year and a half. The staff and everything there seemed good and really on top of things. It's a multilevel facility that has an elevator. They have some rooms that can be used for social or community gatherings, but during Covid, those haven't been used as much, but there is something like a social activities area that is being used as far as they can use it during the Covid pandemic. We were not touring at a time when they were serving meals. I had asked to see if they had some sort of sample menu, so I could kind of see what the weekly offerings and things would be, but they didn't have that available for us when we were touring. Because of the space they have, they've had to do a multilevel, but as long as the elevator is working, it should be fine."

" My Dad lived in this facility from 10/1/21 to 9/5/22 before passing away. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend you consider your loved one living here UNLESS they are fully capable of caring for themselves. This is a not where you want them to live if they need help with hygene, or can not clearly communicate their needs to the staff. We had continuous issues with getting him regular bathing, his laundry done and cleaning of the rooms /bathrooms which are not done on a weekly or even regular basis. MOST importantly, if your loved one is near the end of life, then it's imperative you seek a more appropriate nursing facility as the RN's at this facility would not work easily with or respect the desires of Hospice nor my family when it came to comfort meds. It was a challenge to work with the RN's, who were disrespectful and unsympathetic to my father's declining state. Cypress has a lot of potential to be great, but needs a complete haul over in regards to staffing and resident care."

"My mom moved into Rosario Assisted Living. I have not physically been able to go inside, but looking in through the windows everything seems to be good. COVID made it really tough, but she seems happy and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They help her with physical therapy and total assistance with everything. They play bingo, some kind of little tennis with a balloon, and other activities like that."

"In the past few years we've had 2 family members at Mira Vista. It has always had a very good reputation for Skagit Valley nursing homes for years. About 10 years ago the building went through some ownership challenges, and this year the facility was aquired by an Ensign group which has made a huge difference. The past two years the clinical staff have gotten much better than in prior years, they have dealt very well with Covid and all of the restrictions and communication. They have great activities and physicians. One of our favorite things with Grandpa being in the facility has been there Therapy team and their new Director of Rehab who is awesome. They always find a way to get good participation and results. Their "Skilled" hall is what they call the short term therapy rooms has the best aides and nurses you have ever seen. The new manager and nurse director that have been there the past couple of years are really building a great team inspite of all of the healthcare struggles that hospitals and centers are facing. Thank you for all of the good you do. Our family loves you!"

"My brother-in-law is at The Bridge at Mount Vernon. It's been excellent. He's been there for a year and a half now, and he's very happy after having a really tough time. The staff is very caring. The rooms are nice."
