"My father was a resident of this facility from age 42 until he passed at age 50. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful, however the administration was quite the opposite. They treated me as if I did not matter because at the time I was only 18. They told me I was too young to make decisions and that they would do the best the could. ALthough the nurses and doctors that came in were very nice and helpful, the aids absolutly did not want to do their job. They would skip baths and shavings all the time. The bathrooms were constantly dirty and and we had to tell them multiple time to clean the room and my father. Ultimately, the nursing home staff was responsible for my fathers death. the were ordered to feed him because of his stroke and due to lazyness (i guess) they cut his food and put it on a tray. he choked to death. Horrible facility I would not recommend to anyone. Also no recreation or extra facilities. Horrible Place!! "

"I don't really like Hearn Healthcare, but my sister sees it as OK there. I'm satisfied with the care they are giving. I don't like any facility that I have seen, and I'm probably not the one to ask. It is a small town, and it is a small facility. It is not very clean, and the food is horrible. She said the food is horrible. I don't know because I didn't taste anything. I didn't really meet too many of the staff. I wouldn't say they were friendly, but they weren't rude or anything. She is blind, and another person in her room is blind. This no makes sense to me or to her. The facility wasn't very clean at all. "

"My husband moved to Five Points Nursing & Rehab in Collage Station. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The staff is very helpful and very pleasant. I feel like my husband's getting excellent care. What I like aside from the cleanliness and the beauty of it, is the staff is wonderful. As for the value, I think it's fair, and any nursing home is expensive, but I am comfortable with what I pay."

"My father was at this facility for skilled stay then transitioned to long term. He was very happy and the staff was engaging and he made some wonderful friends. During the end of his life the staff was kind and caring and always there for myself and my family. "

"I went to this facility to visit one of my family members. The first thing I must say is the staff members were really nice and helpful. The building was was a little older but it was very clean. I went to my family member room the room was a bit small, but I was happy that it was clean. While visiting I had to use her restroom and the restroom was really old with a really low bath tub. She told me that she didn't take a bath in tub; she went to the shower room to take baths. Therefore, I felt much better. The staff members did come by on many occasions to see if we needed anything, which I thought was great. I just wasn't really impressed with the structure of the building and it wasn't updated. I did walk her to dinning area, which was small and clean. I wasn't really impressed because the area was old and you can see how old the building was. After all, I think it's alright place to live if you don't mind it not being very new. I can say my family member has been happy there and she has lived there for a while. "

"The Langford at College Station was really nice. The staff who gave the tour was good. She was really nice and gave us a lot of information. But she held us up until the end, and she said there's a $42,000 buy-in. Nevertheless, they had just about everything. They had a place to eat, a library, a common room, a place for different things like a gym, and then they had another room that was almost like a theater. It was really nice and very nicely decorated."

"My impression of Oakland Manor is very good. There aren't much activities, but they have a little karaoke, church service, and encourage the seniors to play dominoes. It's an older building built in '91, so it's kind of limited. They have a cafeteria, PT/OT/Speech area, shower area, and living room in the front. It is the people who make the place better because the staff is very good and caring. They have a van for transportation, but it's a very bumpy ride and most of the residents are uncomfortable on it. Another positive thing about them is that they have a very varied menu, and the food tastes good. They are actually the cheapest of the nursing homes we've been to so far. Not by much, but they have the best value."
