I have been at The Langford at College Station, and it's been really good. I'm settled in and it feels like home now. The staff has been very helpful and everybody here is in good humor and getting along well. They immediately know your name. When you walk into the room, they call you by name. The bedrooms here are superior because it's luxury retirement living. The dining area is spacious, and the food is pretty good. They serve three meals a day. Every Sunday we have a big buffet from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and it's always really good. There's always something going on here from 8:00 in the morning till 8:00 or 9:00 at night, anything and everything from exercising to stretching to various speakers coming in and giving talks and lectures about their specialty. We also have church services on Sunday. We have poker nights, bingo nights, lady poker nights, puzzles, and all kinds of games. We have entertainment every Friday afternoon. They provide almost everything I can think of.

The Langford at College Station was really nice. The staff who gave the tour was good. She was really nice and gave us a lot of information. But she held us up until the end, and she said there's a $42,000 buy-in. Nevertheless, they had just about everything. They had a place to eat, a library, a common room, a place for different things like a gym, and then they had another room that was almost like a theater. It was really nice and very nicely decorated.

The Langford at College Station was brand new. The facilities were gorgeous, and the rooms were very nice. It was on the small side, and they only had ten people in their assisted living. They combine the activities with the independent living, which is nice for the people that are not so high-functioning because they get to interact with people that have more energy but are their age. However, they wanted to put my dad in memory care, and all of the doctors in the rehab program he was in said that was not appropriate.

We went to look at The Langford and did not have an appointment, but they accommodated us, which was very nice of them. They had a nice facility that was very well done, but we did not meet a lot of people there. They were not completely open yet as theyre still getting their building finished. We probably will not go there because my parents cant afford it. They let us know their activities and all of their amenities. They had several different sized apartments. The dining area looked very nice. They werent cooking the day we were there because they didnt have a lot of residents. The apartments were very spacious and had lots of natural light coming through, so it had a good energy to it. They were nice apartments.
