My mother has a private room which she is very comfortable in. She had a roommate, loved her, but decided on a private one when Charlotte moved. I moved her from her country home of 30+ years to Peach Creek. It has a country-type atmosphere which made it an excellent choice for us. The staff are all wonderful and take excellent care of all their residents. Mother loves all of the pampering they give her. I didn't give the food a rating because I've not tasted it and you cannot take my mother's rating seriously. She wants "salt", lots of it, and is not happy if she cannot taste any (doctor's orders). I've talked with her about moving and she tells me "no", she's happy where she is.

Before we found Peachcreek, my mom was in a situation that was not ideal. She needed a place with activities, round the clock care for her, and with caring individuals equipped in dealing with dementia. Peachcreek fits that bill. There is always something going on for her to be involved with, such as church services, music, arts and crafts and parties for every occasion. And I have never questioned that my mom is cared for. She is always clean and well fed. She has many medications and diabetes requirements that are taken care of daily. Her room is nice and the facility is nice in a beautiful country setting that is still close to all of the things that College Station has to offer. I highly recommend Peachcreek Assisted Living in College Station.

My wife moved into Peach Creek Assisted Living. It is a small community. My wife's living space is good. What appealed to me was that they were more willing to work with me, providing her prescriptions, picking them up in the drugstore, taking them over there, and making them a lot cheaper for my insurance. They have a lot of activities. They told me I could bring over a lot of stuff for her to do what she was doing over here, so that's what I did. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. They have a lot of flexibility to allow her to do what she wants to do.

My mother was at Peach Creek Assisted Living Community for two weeks. It was separated into several buildings, and you have one little area where you get together. It seemed like a smaller place, but the woman who ran it was a good cook. She was the one who was trying to do everything, and she was amazing. However, my mother was unhappy there. They shared a bathroom. Even the price I think was a little high for what they had. And they needed more staff. They had some crafts, and they had a few groups that would come in and sing and play. They had a few volunteers that would come in. So they had people coming in and out, and that was nice. With regard to maintenance, nothing has been finished around the grounds. The grounds weren't up kept very well. Inside, it was really nice. They had a problem with the bathroom going there. Because they have to share a bathroom, it's like somebody has to go in there immediately after the other person if they mess it up, and that doesn't always happen. So that was an issue. But they kept the rest of the place clean. The staff were very nice. One thing about the money though, we had to put down a deposit, and it was respite care. I was thinking we would get that back and we didn't. So it was $5000 total for two weeks, which I thought was excessive.

At Peach Creek Assisted Living, assisted living and memory care were kind of the same because it has a small number of people. It's a comfortable setting. My husband is not a wanderer, but if he did wander, he's not going to walk out onto a main highway or anything. I didn't meet all the people. I liked Rachel, the owner. She was very helpful. The only thing that maybe I would have been concerned about is that the rooms were very small. You can't put a lot of your personal things in there. There were people in the main area playing a game. I noticed a bible study started. The gentleman came in and got them started with that and I kind of liked that. The facilities were nice, new, and very clean. It's a home setting and it's very rural, so it was not a real formal area. They're working on their exterior and the driveway. As far as inside, it seemed very comfortable.

My mother moved into Peach Creek Assisted Living. It's great. She's in a large, 2-person room, but she's the only one in the room right now. It's a large two-person room, and she's the only one in the room right now. But the room is nice and clean and it's got a great view of the outside. She has a nice, light room, and it's very pleasant and big. They have a nice seating area. It's large and it's comfortable and they have plenty of seating for everybody, cause a lot of them just come in wheel themselves in. They're just sitting in wheelchairs, but there's other seating too, and the dining room is big. They have a nice, big dining table, and easy access to everything. It's pretty. They've got it decorated for Christmas right now. The staff is pleasant. They're always attentive. I'd say it's one of the better staff I've ever seen in any kind of nursing home. They have activities. They do stuff at least every third day, they've got something going on, like bringing people in. Some kids came in the other day and played the piano and then they have some kids do some ballroom dancing. My mother's only been there a few days, but they've already had two things, and they try to get them out, make them do stuff.

My sister-in-law was in Peach Creek Assisted Living. As far as I can tell she was fine, she was having issues with her TV, but she has got that rectified, and I think she was happy about that. I think all in all, she was satisfied there. It was fine. The day I went was the very first day they were letting people visit. They took her temperature, told us to keep our masks on and everything. I was only there a short while and didn't get to see too much, but she seemed content. I thought it was very far out. In fact, I got lost. It was a perfect setting for her because she kind of likes the quiet, and it's real peaceful out there. The accommodation was very nice.

We've chosen Peach Creek Assisted Living for my sister. She moved in on April 1st. It is clean. It does not smell like a nursing home, and the assistants that are there are very caring people. It's very peaceful. It's out in the country, and she can go sit out on the porch if she wants to. There is a deer feeder out there, and they do have deer that come up. They have activities like once a month. They had antique cars that came. They were able to sit on the porch and the cars went around the building, so they were able to see them. Then at Easter they had a big easter hunt for their grandchildren to come. When they have five residents that want to have their teeth cleaned, they have a dentist that comes out. In fact she's there today doing X-rays and teeth cleaning for the people and denture adjustment if they need that; so that is good. I appreciate that. They also have a hairdresser that will come out periodically. So I think that's good. My sister doesn't really care for the food she is eating. It's not the best in the world. I do wish that they had a person just for cooking. One of the nurses has to do the cooking, and I don't agree with that. I think the nurses need to be tending to the residents and that a cook needs to be there cooking. That's one of my complaints. The ones that can watch TV, do watch TV together. The ones that can eat at the table, do eat together. That's good. The thing that I do not like is whoever's handling the finances. She's only been there two months. I sent last month's check, and it hasn't made it there yet; so I sent another check and I'm checking to see if it made it there. I wish they had an electronic payment, where I could just set that up with my sister's account. I think that management needs to be a little bit more up to date.
