"I recently spent 80 days the staff was great very responsive to all of my request, I attended weekly meetings with social worker, heath care providers, physical therapist to discuss progress or lack of progress They arrange home care thru the VNA that included PHYSICAL THERAPY and Ocupational therapy and offered other services if needed My experience at Laconia Genisis was better than expected"

"They are fantastic at Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. I think all of the staff is really incredibly nice people, and they have been more than wonderful to work with. Everybody seems happy. The administration has been super great. They take the time to know about the patient’s background like who they are and what they have done in their lives and use that to understand the patient’s needs. I cannot give enough positive things about them. I have tried the food, and I like it. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is a lively place. "

"My mother-in-law stayed at Birch Healthcare Center before she passed away. I was never really able to go in because of COVID. We tried to do a window visit, but she was legally blind and incredibly hard of hearing. She had no idea what we were trying to get her to do. I talked to the nurses every other day, and there were some wonderful ladies that worked there. They kept me in a loop and told me what was going on. They were doing their absolute best, and they were lovely people. When we had a conference call, they were very cooperative and very helpful. There was another elderly woman in the room with my mother-in-law. They were in a normal sized bedroom with two single beds. They each had their own dressers. They also kept her close to the nurse's station. The building was a little older and obviously needed to be modernized, but it is still appeared to be well-maintained. It was winter so the grounds were not green and lush, but you could see that there was a garden in the spring. They did have a seating area outside where in the good weather, you could possibly sit outside among different plants. They were very helpful and caring people. I know that they truly cared about her."

"My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's years before her stay at the Newton Center. She stayed there for a short stay, having only been there for rehabilitation. The staff were a mixed bunch; some were very kind and full of smiles, while others seemed to think most of the patients were bothersome, but I suppose those mixed attitudes can be found almost anywhere. The facility was kept clean, although at one point my grandmother's stuffed animal went missing. However, the social worker assigned to my grandmother was more than willing to track it down for her. All in all, it was a nice place for her to stay in even though I wish the nurses would react to the patients' needs a little more quickly. "

"We chose Peabody Home because I think their facility was a good fit for my father, and it was close to where we lived. It's in a small town. There are some restaurants and shopping there, but it's not in the city. The staff have been great. They are very attentive to my father's needs and our needs. He has a single room. It's large and bright with big windows that overlook the river. There was a nice community room. People are friendly. The other residents were also friendly. They have games. It was a good place to be. In memory care, their activities are more on puzzles and games like that. As far as amenities, there is just a courtyard, a little walking area, and a sitting area. There's a restaurant on the campus. There are places for haircuts, like a barbershop. There's PT and OT. It was a new facility. It was just built a few years ago so it's clean and updated. Being in the memory care, they kept them as busy as they could."

"Merrimack County nursing home is great. My aunt has been there for six months now. They have counseling for the relatives. They have a recreation room, community room, and exercises if they are capable of doing them. They're doing good with her, and they get to know them. The nurses and the staff are good, and the counseling people are excellent. I went to a meeting with my cousins, and they seem to know what they're doing. She has a very tiny room. The food is good. It has a restaurant or café and a hairdressing salon. They have outdoor places with flowers. I'm impressed. "

"I went to Havenwood-Heritage Heights. They have apartments all over the place. I would be in the lodge, which is a one-room studio apartment rather than a full apartment. I like the lodge because, in weather like this, you don't have to go out. Like the meals and all the activities, everything, is in the building, so I wouldn't have to go out. Like some of the apartments, you have to go to activities or anything you want to do, and even though they have bus transportation because they have two campuses, you have to go out to go to them. If you're in the lodge, everything is there like the dining room, a little store, the hair salon, and the activities. The staff is all very pleasant. I only met two, the person that I first met when I called for information, and one other person, and they both have been very nice, very helpful, and they always answered my calls. We got a beautiful wreath from my representative for Christmas. It's gorgeous, it's very nice, so I was quite surprised. The place looked well kept. I didn’t see anything like layers of dust. It's well kept up. I just have one problem with the room. As you go into the doorway of the studio, the bathroom is right there, it's not closer into the room where you would be sleeping. It just seems the door should be more near your bed or the inside of the room rather than the little entranceway. It would be nice if the bathroom was more inside the room."
