"Garden Villa is a very clean and friendly place to recooperate. My husband was there for over 2 months while receiving therapy to walk. All staff is very friendly and good at their job. "

"Meadowood was exceptional. It was very friendly, very family-like, very warm, welcoming, and very active. They served exceptional food, and the dining area looked elegant. The staff who gave me the tour was helpful. I saw residents putting together puzzles, some were playing pool, and some were going shopping. They had an exercise class going on, and there were residents reading books and newspapers. The outdoor areas were very green, very friendly, and very clean, with lots of walkways, ponds with fountains, and benches to sit on."

"Physical Therapy is a Joke! Had to search for therapist on a regular basis. Company seems to be about profit instead of care. Meals are lacking in flavor and portions are small. Had to remind staff about showers. Need more activities. Not Properly staffed at all times, night shift consists of 1 nurse and 1 can per 38 residents. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Sorry"

"My dad moved into Golden Living center - Bloomington. I had been there for quite a while and he's been doing well. It's a large, nice, and clean facility. He's in a shared room and the staff has been very helpful. They have a courtyard, a dining area, and the activities vary per interest of each resident. The manager was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of good information about the activities. They allow at least two visitors at a time without any appointment. You just have to wear a mask and do the pre screening, as far as getting your temperature checked and answering COVID questions. I haven't tried the meals myself but I was with him during mealtimes and they were satisfactory."

"My dad was transferred to the Waters of Martinsville when he entered hospice care. The staff was amazing. Not only knowledgeable, but also friendly and kind. My mother and I felt very at home when visiting my dad. The staff stayed in communication with us and kept us updated on my Dad's condition when we took breaks away from the facility. After my Dad passed, my Mom and I talked about how much we missed the staff at the Waters of Martinsville. The facility was cleaned and smelled good. "

"We got my mother-in-law into Good Samaritan Society Shakamak Retirement Community because it’s close to our home, they have a private room, everything had been updated and remodelled, and there was no odor and no smell. It was super clean, the people that were working were super clean, and everyone seemed happy in there. I haven’t eaten there, but my mother in law is eating well, and she has no complaints. The rooms are big, you can have furniture, a dresser, they’re very nice, and they come with brand-new TVs on the wall. They keep her busy, she is gaining strength since she’s been there, and able to get up and move."

"People can write or say anything about The Waters that they want to, BUT when you have a step-father (Stan, that you love like a father) that has been with them for quite a while now, all my wife and I can say for EVERYONE that works there are FANTASTIC, we understand it can be tough for the staff to get there as soon as the button get's pushed and the light goes on,but as soon as someone gets there the patient is taken care of. The Waters is NOT your all fancy place but it's a GREAT place to have someone that you care for,being taken care of 24/7 and you don't have to worry about them. "My mother broke both her ankles and we had no choice but to place her there for rehab to home. Great care, therapy did an amazing job. She got better and went home and is doing well."

"I had my Grandfather here to rehabilitate after surgery. He was at Hickory Creek for two months. I would have to say that getting him in here was a breeze with the nice lady that does admissions and the Director Tega. I really appreciate all the help they gave and how easy they made the transition. The nursing staff was great to him, and physical therapy had him up and going with in a couple of weeks. Everyone I encountered were very nice and attentive to the needs of my grandfather. He also like having his own room to himself."

"I was a resident at Mill Pond Health Campus after my back surgery. The staff were fabulous and treated me very well. The therapy department did an excellent job getting me back to normal so I could get back home. The food was delicious. The nurses and aides treated me like their own and I was pleased. If I ever had to go back or needed to be there long term, Mill Pond is the place I would go! "

"My mom is in a secured memory care unit in Asbury Towers, and they bring the food up to them. The rooms are very nice and very suitable. It's not the easiest to navigate in because it's a 3-floor building, and the parking around it is kind of a pain, but as far as the room itself, it's fine. They treat my mom very well, and they're very attentive. They do her laundry, administer her medications, give her a shower twice a week, and clean her room every day. They have activities and devotions after breakfast sometimes and activities for them after lunch and in the afternoon. They try to keep them busy. The residents outside of the secured unit go around on their own on their wheelchairs, and they don't seem to have a problem. It's just not convenient to get in there. Mom is on the second floor, and it's sometimes hard to get up to the front to bring her out to where she doesn't have to walk very far because she uses a walker. Getting in and out is just not that convenient for the ones who have problems with ambulation. "

"They go above and beyond for their residents and genuinely care. If you have any issues, there is someone there to help at all hours of the day. "

"What a great place! They have the most caring staff and the therapy team is amazing. With the care I received from Brown County after my knee replacement, I was able to return home after only 14days! I recommend this facility to everyone! "
