The agency and its employees were professional, courteous and caring in their care for my elderly mother. From the initial telephone contact, all employees were friendly and compassionate and lived up to their promises. Caregivers were assigned on a round-the-clock basis in three shifts. All of the aides who were sent were very friendly and trained to handle the needs of my mother, who was recovering from a fall. Due to the mental state of my mother, the in-home care did not work out for us; however, the experience with Helping Hands was a positive one from start to finish. Since my mother is over 90 years old, she harbored some long-held racial prejudices which hampered the agency in staffing individuals to attend to her. On one occasion, she (my mother) actually physically lashed out a an aide. I had to request that she (the aide) not return; however, this was a personal issue and not performance-related.
