My mom is a resident of Rose Hill Retirement Community. It's privately owned so I feel like the care is a lot better. They've got big rooms. It's individual rooms and not shared rooms. Whenever there's an issue or something with my mother, they work with me to help solve that and we come up with different options and things to try to make it easier for my mom. Because of COVID, they cut out a lot of programs and I don't know exactly what they brought back because I usually do my visiting with her at night. She's not a day person and sleeps most of the day, so she's up more at night. They cater to that where she's concerned. Their staff goes above and beyond in working with my mom. I've been happy with all of them. My mother likes the food, and if she likes it, that's all that counts. There's been a couple of times I've been up there when they were feeding her, and the food looked really good. They had a good variety of food that older people would eat. They've been very helpful because my mom sometimes needs help to eat, so they feed her. They're just really good with her. It's an older facility. The ladies that own it have decorated it back in the style from the time period that the people living there would have come out. So, there are a lot of antiques and things, a lot of older pictures. It makes the senior citizens feel more like they're at home. And the value for money compared to other places that I've looked at is a good value for what they charge.
