This nursing home is not one that I would recommend unless there is family that is willing to keep a close eye on what is happening to their relative. We have a family member visit my relative every day since she was addmited. I spent the first three months setting up special options her, ie. a special menu each month, I am allowed to bath her, she can sleep in until she wakes up, etc. My relative has Alzhiemers, but has been able to dress herself and use the bathroom without assistance up to this point. She is faltering quickly in being able to do these things. Therefore, the nursing home personnel will have to start helping her with her everyday needs much more very soon. At that time, we will have to see if we are still comfortable that she is being taken care of properly. Rosewood recently was added to the federal list of the worst nursing homes in the U.S.. With all the things the social worker helped us to change for her in the first few months and being able to be there daily, we have been happy here and have been able to stay on top of her care. The social worker and the dietician have been a wonderful help. If you do not have the time to set things up personally for your relative and cannot be there all the time to make sure they are okay, I would not recommend this facility at this time.
