"My mom is a patient in this facility and has been for over a year. The persons who work and care for the residents are very caring and treat residents as family. The Recreation department is way above 5 stars and offer many many activities for the residents , in and out of the facility. I am very impressed with them. The nurses, aides, therapists , doctors, volunteers and everyone else are very kind and helpful.There is an atmosphere of home here. "

"I was totally against putting my husband in this facility due to their reputation, But my husband is now in there for 3 months and my opinion has changed. I have to say the nurses and staff on the 1st floor are wonderful caring people. They are taking great care of him. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility."

"My experience with the facility was all in all a positive one. She always seemed to get the help and assistance she needed. They had scheduled times for eating and times to play games, such as bingo, which is my grandmother's favorite. I always felt like having a schedule was very important for her in order to keep her mind off not being in her own home. I was also very impressed with the food. I expected smaller portions and less quality, but it was the exact opposite. She always talked about how good it was.One thing that did bother me about the facility was that she had to share a room with another person. I understand that the facility has to accompany as many people as possible, but still, i wish she could have had her own room. I think it would have made her feel more at ease having her own room. It would have given her more of a feeling that she still can have some of her independence and freedom, like in her own house. "

"We've placed my mom at Cortland Care Center. The facility is clean and well-staffed. I think the place is kept up well. It's a fine facility, and I don't have any issues with it. I know they have an activities group, but my mom is not involved in that much. They have a patio where they can go out if they want to and someone will go with them. The dining area is large, and then they have another kitchen area where the residents can sit as well. The food seems to be fine, and I don't see any issues with that either. I've never had a problem with their staff. They do the laundry for my mom but sometimes it can get behind. They have new staff members and they tend to communicate better because they'd call me for updates even if it's after hours."

"The Courtyards @ Bethany Village was nicely kept and convenient. The staff was friendly. The grounds were excellent. It's near the highway and not a long way from our home and our children. There's nothing exceptional, but it was nice and reasonably priced."

"My dad was at Elcor Nursing Home, one of the best nursing homes in the area. The place is clean, and the staff was very good and very kind. "

"My mother-in-law was here for rehab. We were all really surprised with how clean it is. They are doing remodeling and it looks great. The staff is so helpful and made us feel really safe leaving her there. They updated us with every single thing and always answered our questions. The therapy department was really helpful with making sure she would be safe to go back home. My MIL would call my husband every night and tell us how nice everyone is, and what they did during the day. When we were at the hospital, our biggest concern was where she would be going for rehab, as we have heard bad things about nursing homes. We are happy to recommend this nursing home to anyone that wants to place their family member here and feel safe about it. "

"My aunt was put here after her stroke. When I went to visit her she was slumped over in a wheelchair with no help in sight. She also had several articles of clothes stolen. Needless to say she was put in another facility. The head of the department never returned any of the phone calls our family made. We also called and tried to talk to the head nun at the time but again, no returned calls."

"The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Everyone is always helpful. They keep the building in good condition and clean. You expect to smell something terrible when you think of a nursing facility, but when you walk in you don't get that. They offer a lot of activities for the residents and that keeps them also happy and makes it easier to visit when they have something new to tell about what they have been up to. The cafeteria is a great place to visit, they have lots of choices and good food as well. There is a lot of different places to take the residents when you are there to visit. There is a dining room, a day room and a elevator sitting area on every unit, as well as a downstairs lobby, activity room, and 2 different outdoor locations to sit, relax, and enjoy talking to everyone. The building is accessible and very easy to find. The only complaint would be the parking lot is kind of small and there is a bit of a walk to get to the main entrance door. In all I believe most everyone is happy to work there and they show it. It makes it easier to want to go back each time and know you will always feel welcome and be comfortable. "
