The staff at Cortland Memorial Nursing Facility took very good care of my father-in-law. They have a lot of staff and the nurses are very, very caring. We don’t have a problem at all with the treatment he is receiving. The rooms are clean, but I wouldn’t call them spacious. They look like a hospital room. The staff are wonderful. They are very friendly and caring. They pay a lot of attention to their patients.

The employees were extremely helpful and showed me the entire nursing facility and answered my questions. The facility itself was bright, cheery and spotlessly clean. The dining room was comfortable and homey and, as explained, all residents are brought to the dining room for lunch and supper. The tables are set with plates, silverware and glasses - like home. No trays. Meals are prepared by the attached hospital kitchen, a choice of 3 or 4 main courses are brought up in serving carts and the residents can choose. There are several day rooms for activities and TV watching. I was disappointed in the lack of outside stimulating activities - music, singers, slideshows, etc. Only three in the month, staff providing any others.

It was fine. The physical therapy and everything like that was top shelf as far as we are concern. Cortland Regional Hospital were very good with mom. Our only issue was she got an intestinal infection, something that she'll have to deal with for the rest of her life. But other than that we have no complaints over there at all, they were good to her. They really worked with her, the aides were always there pretty prompt, the nurses were fairly good.

My mom is a patient in this facility and has been for over a year. The persons who work and care for the residents are very caring and treat residents as family. The Recreation department is way above 5 stars and offer many many activities for the residents , in and out of the facility. I am very impressed with them. The nurses, aides, therapists , doctors, volunteers and everyone else are very kind and helpful. There is an atmosphere of home here.
