"My parents are now residing at The Hearth at Castle Gardens. They've been very helpful, and they've gone beyond. When I'm asking them to do different things in there, they would take care of it. Of course, the storm didn't help things here for a few days, but they're finally getting back into running things the way they would normally run them. If you ask them something, they take care of it. My parents have only been there a week, and three days of that was when the storm hit. They have a lot of things on their agenda to do, so that's good. Right now, the food is okay. In three days, they had to have food brought to them because of the storm. They have a bigger kitchen in the room. They don't have to cook. The room is very clean. They clean the rugs, and they make sure they are clean. They painted and fixed things and did some things that I asked them to do. The staff have all been very nice. The building itself is very nice. They have everything they could want. The dining hall looks like a little dinette, which is cute. They have a gym room for them to do exercises, balance things, or games. They get together and play bingo once in a while."

"My aunt is at Good Shepherd Fairview, and it’s been fabulous. It’s affordable, it’s one of the cheaper places in the area, and they have everything there. They have a café, a hairdresser, a podiatrist, and a bank. She has her prayer group, her rosary, and her church. They go twice a week to the grocery store, they have a shuttle, and then they also go to the casino, the shopping mall, and she also has a chauffeur service included in the price when she will go to any medical appointment and it’s part of the price that she pays. They have yoga, prayer group, social hour, men’s night, meeting clubs, mardigras; they have everything. I want to live there and I’m not even 50. The staff is fabulous. We had an issue where my aunt and another lady moved in at the same time and they issued the same phone number, so the housekeeper, went to my aunt’s room and knocked on the door to tell her that her phone was not working, and they fixed the problem. She had a problem with her toilet and it was fixed the next day, she had an issue with her TV remote and the maintenance man came and fixed it, and they hung her pictures. They’re absolutely fabulous, I was so impressed. "
