My experience with the facility was all in all a positive one. She always seemed to get the help and assistance she needed. They had scheduled times for eating and times to play games, such as bingo, which is my grandmother's favorite. I always felt like having a schedule was very important for her in order to keep her mind off not being in her own home. I was also very impressed with the food. I expected smaller portions and less quality, but it was the exact opposite. She always talked about how good it was.One thing that did bother me about the facility was that she had to share a room with another person. I understand that the facility has to accompany as many people as possible, but still, i wish she could have had her own room. I think it would have made her feel more at ease having her own room. It would have given her more of a feeling that she still can have some of her independence and freedom, like in her own house.
