"I chose Morningstar Residential Care Center for my dad because he gotta do therapy. He's in rehab in their nursing type home. I would say that the therapy and staff is doing 80% so far. I can't get in it because of COVID, but the place is fairly new and modern. In terms of activities, because of COVID, they stopped everything."

"The staff at Michaud were very thoughtful, understanding, and professional when it came to my father's Alzheimers and the challenges it created. The nurses were able to cater to his needs and make him feel very comfortable. He needed assistance with every aspect of his day-to-day life, and he was always treated with respect and dignity. The facility itself looked a little outdated, but I had such a good experience with the staff that the appearance of the facility didn't matter. It was kept very clean at all times and before my father died there were a few renovations made, including a new kitchen/sitting area on the second floor. There were some nice benches to sit on outside the front door, so on nice days we could bring Dad outside to sit in the sun. Also, the nursing home had some activities that he really enjoyed, including sing alongs and musical performances.In all, this nursing home put me at ease when it came to my father's care. I felt comfortable knowing that he was being taken care of by such a thoughtful team of nurses. "

"If your parent(s) need assisted living, this is the facility where you want them to be. The staff is so caring and they work very hard to make patients feel comfortable. My mother in-law had a tough time transitioning to the memory care unit and they provided a one on one aid to help her out. It was wonderful. I describe the facility as " a cruise ship on land"! Beautiful rooms, dining areas, and grounds Both of my parents and my mother in -law lived at McHarrie Pointe and then moved over to the skilled nursing area. I am so thankful to have had them at a wonderful place during the later years of their lives. "
