The staff at Michaud were very thoughtful, understanding, and professional when it came to my father's Alzheimers and the challenges it created. The nurses were able to cater to his needs and make him feel very comfortable. He needed assistance with every aspect of his day-to-day life, and he was always treated with respect and dignity. The facility itself looked a little outdated, but I had such a good experience with the staff that the appearance of the facility didn't matter. It was kept very clean at all times and before my father died there were a few renovations made, including a new kitchen/sitting area on the second floor. There were some nice benches to sit on outside the front door, so on nice days we could bring Dad outside to sit in the sun. Also, the nursing home had some activities that he really enjoyed, including sing alongs and musical performances.In all, this nursing home put me at ease when it came to my father's care. I felt comfortable knowing that he was being taken care of by such a thoughtful team of nurses.
