Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills

We went to Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills. We did a tour and my father did an evaluation to stay there. He did pass the evaluation, but we felt it was a little more independent than the care he needs for the respite stay. It's a beautiful facility for somebody who is independent in being able to dress themselves and get themselves down to meals. It had a lot of wonderful amenities, and the food service looked amazing. They have libraries. They have different games that are played throughout the day. They have social activities. I know in the morning they had somebody come in and kind of do a "today in history" kind of conversation in the one waiting area. It seemed like they had a lot of activities and things for people to do.

Clark Meadows is very good, very well kept, very clean, and well cared for. The food is excellent and served restaurant-style. They have lots of activities, like bingo and card games, and have musicians that come in to play. They have their own little grocery store and a salon and a vehicle to transport them to doctors' appointments. They can improve on having more activities outside the center because if you want to go to an activity, you usually have to make an outside arrangement. Whenever I go away, my dad stays there.

My 94 year old Mother-in-law was at Clark Meadows for a 5 day respite. All of our family, including my Mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with the bright cheery cleanliness of her private apartment. We were also impressed with the decor of the entire facility. She was provided with a choice and a variety of nutritional meals. The staff were always pleasant, helpful and responded quickly to her requests. We HIGHLY recommend this facility and plan on using it again in the future, as it provided us peace of mind that she was safe and will cared for.

We were able to visit Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills. The facility is very clean with lots of activities. The residents were out and about. They have several places to choose for the residents to eat. The bedrooms were very nice.

Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills is an outstanding facility! The apartments are beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting than Canandaigua. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very caring. It is nice to know that there is 24 hour care available if needed. That really provides my Grandfather with a sense of security. Clark Meadows really allows it's residence to age with dignity which in my opinion is the most important aspect of an assisted living facility. There are a variety of daily activities for my Grandfather to enjoy. Boredom is definitely not a problem. He has also had the opportunity to make many new friends, it's such a great community. We have visited many other assisted living community in the area during our search but Clark Meadows stood out from all of the rest. It almost has the feeling of being on vacation in a resort hotel. I am truly happy that my family made Clark Meadows the choice for my Grandfather's new home.

This is a beautiful and home-like place with friendly, caring staff. The residents seemed happy and well cared for. I had lunch there and the food was excellent. There are many amenities such as a beauty shop, library and activities room and there seemed to be a lot for the residents to do.
