When I went to visit my grandmother at the nursing home I was impressed on the level of care given to her. The caregivers (they were not all nurses) were caring, helpful, responsible, patient and reliable. Her room was clean and did not smell stale as the other facility she had previously been in. They workers genuinely appeared to want to help and appeared to like their jobs and excelled at it. My grandmother told me that it was like that all the time and not only when there were outside people there. She is much happier here and I can not express how happy that makes me. Although I do confess that as nice as it has been up until now I have not yet let my guard down and my family and I check on her constantly because of our previous experiences. There is one nurse that I requested not care for my grandmother and I was surprised to say that they respected my wishes and my grandmother said she has stopped by to chat but has not done anything medical with her again.
