I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I find the staff at Citadel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Kingsbridge to be above par. They're very good. The food is better than the other places that my dad has been to. The facility is a little small so there's not much for amenities. I think the facility could be cleaner, but having dad there has been good overall.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandmother is at Kingsbridge Heights Rehabilitation, and she doesn't like the place at all because they don't bathe her every day. She's been complaining about the space that she has because there's not much to move around. When she came in, the staff was really helpful with her. She just stayed there for a few days to see how it was. The room where they put her was amazing; it was a big place. She had a big bathroom. She had a lot of attention, but then after we decided to keep her there, we didn't know that the other floors are different. The rooms are 100% different from when you go in there for just a few days. Right now, I haven't seen her so much because during the pandemic, they stopped the visit. They gave her a wheelchair, but she can walk without a wheelchair. She can walk with a walker or a cane. I don't know why they gave her a wheelchair. She said the space between the wheelchair and the bed is too close for her to move. She has to really push the wheelchair for her to move out the room to go to the bathroom, which she has to share with somebody else. She says the person next to her has more space than she does. I don't know why they didn't give her more space when she wants more. The sitting area where they're supposed to sit down and watch TV is terrible. Everything is different. The place is nice, but it's not a good place to have somebody living there. It's really depressing when you go there. I have to buy her clothes all the time because her clothes disappear. They never bring her clothes back. There are a lot of things going on in that place. She needs to get out of there. The food she said in the beginning was good.

I visited this facility

My father was in this nursing home for almost 3 years. The day time cna's were ok. The evening ones were horrible. My dad had a few bruises and scratches from time to time. When I reported it to higher staff members it was always going to be investigated. But not once was I told what was the reason for the bruises. When a cna hit a patient she was transfer to another floor. Her fellow workers were see her mistreating the patients and would not say anything. Once a patient told the cna that she remembered her hitting her the night before her fellow cna told the patient that she should not say lies. The patient was so scared she started to cry. When food was served the staff would take desserts and juice from trays for themselves. I went everyday to make sure my father had his meals.
