I had a family member stay at Ross Center for Health & Rehabilitation. The rehab team is fantastic and hard working they had my uncle walking comfortably in just a few weeks. The place recently had some nice renovations made and the nursing staff really took care of all of our family and most of all my uncle's needs. Thank you to the entire Ross team

This is the worst facility I have ever seen. My girlfriend was here for rehabilitation, and there is NOTHING to recommend this facility. Most of the good people (four nurses, two aides and the housekeeping and maintenance staff) are outweighed by the nasty incompetence of the administration and most of the aides. There is one dementia resident who is given free rein. He urinates against the walls, in corridors exposing himself to others. He also wanders the halls without supervision entering women's rooms while they are in bed and staring. He has also touched at least one resident. The administration refuses to restrict him and complaints are ignored or worse retaliated against. The food is atrocious, residents are often left without changing in their own urine and feces until the next shift. The rehab is inadequate, twenty three and a half hours in bed or a wheelchair, for every half hour of "therapy". Never allow ANY loved one here for temporary or long term residence. It is a disaster.

I was there in March. It was dirty and there was urine on the floor. The food was inedible and breakfast was served cold. It was disgusting. They called me directly while I was in the hospital and that should have been my first clue they were unethical. They wanted to keep me there until Monday but we found out there was no physical therapy on Sunday so there was no medical reason for them to keep me. We had to fight them on it, but we were adamant that we were leaving on Sunday morning and they finally agreed. I had sent pictures to my SIL and described the conditions and she called the state agency and filed a complaint. The only good thing were the physical therapists. Several months later, they sent us a bill for the co-pay. Problem was the return address was in the middle of a cemetery. Never let a loved one go to this place.

I would like to warn others about the type of treatment that goes on within this business. My father had an ileostomy surgery and was admitted to this center in order to recuperate. Let's just say, since admission he has been bed-ridden, lost a ton of weight, and has a nervous system incapacitated. We have numerous complaints to every employee there from Nurse to Director. All we get are apologies, but nothing is improving. Any doctor appointments are always delayed because no one is competent to plan for transportation properly. Each sibling has to miss work in order to attend these appointments and we will find out at the very end if it was rescheduled or couldn't get transportation. One time, the front desk employee had to put my dad in his truck to get him to the appointment. Each room is not properly ventilated well, have seen bugs/roaches around. Most of the night staff are on their cellphones mostly, and not trained properly. Supplies for my father are at a bare minimum. The family was told to bring supplies if possible and also assist in caring to change the stoma bag. This is concerning for a business. I am a 30-plus-year resident of the town of Islip(Brentwood). Most of the people I speak with about this Nursing center agree with me and even relocated their loved ones to a better facility. Every night I worry if my father will improve. But not with this nursing center.
