I was very impressed with MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Albuquerque. They do a very good job. The apartments were in good condition, they had different types of rooms you could select, however, at the time they had no availability. The staff was very good, she was excellent. I've had friends who have had loved ones there and they were impressed. So I'm going by their recommendations. They have a whole list of activities and a regular weekly schedule of things to keep the patient involved. Very good. I like their space, their outdoor availability for a patient, it's all on one floor. However, the drawback is, it's very far from my home. To go visit would be a 30-minute drive.

I toured MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Albuquerque. They were very welcoming and friendly. The place was conveniently located to my house in Albuquerque. The facility was clean. The people were friendly. It seemed like they had outdoor areas for residents to enjoy. The rooms were comfortable. This is for assisted living, meaning that it's a shared room, but it's large. They have outdoor activities, gardening, and group exercise activities. They have different sitting areas where you can be in a group, or you can have more privacy. So there's different areas where the residents can go. We were given homemade cinnamon rolls to take home and bake that the residents made. It was good.

MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Albuquerque was excellent on all levels, but it was expensive. I just looked at the assisted living side. It's a newer facility, so everything is really nice facility-wise. It's all well maintained, bright, and shiney. I think it's been open for about less than five years, so it was a very nice facility. If it wasn't so expensive, it may have been my number two. Price-wise, it's just too much. It was going to be at least $12000, and it would probably end up being more. They have amenities like barbershops and beauty salon. Morningstar was top notch all the way down the line, but it was pricey. They had in-house physical therapy and occupational therapy. They had a barber/beauty salon, and they had the same type of activities as other places. It was really nice. We had so many options in terms of floor plans that were available. It's conveniently located for us, my family, and my parents' doctors. I got to talk to one of their residents, and she had only been there for about 2-3 months. She said they take really good care of her. It appeared to me that the staff took good care of their residents, based on my interaction with one of the residents and that was without anybody else from the facility around. I just ran into her out into the courtyard in front of the facility, and struck up a conversation.

Our family really appreciate the number of staff that are always on duty and especially that the culinary staff are separate from the attendants providing personal care. The staff are fabulous!

I saw Morning Star of Albuquerque. The rooms were nice, and very clean. I saw a lot of interactions between the staff and patients, activities like games, a lot of one-on-one, or one-on-two involvements, and the staff during the day and in the evening seemed to be involved with the residents. The food seemed good. It was very upbeat, it was not depressing, it was colorful, and it was clean. It was the best assisted living facility I saw. They had an outdoor area, and that was nice also.

MorningStar of Albuquerque's dining area was very pleasant, and the rooms were very nice. It was very expensive and everything was packed on. The person who gave me the tour was pleasant, but she was new and seemed a little disorganized. The facility was very nice, but their payment system was inflexible and there was really no place to walk. They had a lot of amenities though like a masseuse who came in and a really nice hair salon. If you're not very active, I'm sure it's a very good place.

I stopped in to get information on this facility - the lady at the front desk asked me to fill out a form, handed me a clipboard and directed me to a table. She said she would be right with me, but 30 minutes later I returned her clipboard realizing that she must be too busy or just didn't care to provide any information. Poor customer service skills - I hope their residents get better attention.

MorningStar was fine but too busy for what we were looking for. It was too much like a five-star resort, which was not what we were looking for. The staff was fine and good. The room was comfortable; not too small or too big. The residents were very active, so I think there was a lot more assisted living and independent living, and I was looking for more of a nursing home.

We visited Morning Star. It was brand new and just opened, so there were only a few residents when I visited. It is beautifully furnished and elegant, and the food was excellent. The staff was very informative and very friendly.

We decided on Morning Star because of the location, and the friendly staff. It’s a new facility, very clean, and spacious. We had a meal there, and the food was good. It’s in a corporate area. They have transportation that takes them to places.
