I was discharged from Morristown Memorial Hospital as non-ambulatory due to arthritic knee. Only facility to accept me was Lakeview. Looking back, I was there from approximately 9/28 (?) until 11/15. The Physical Therapy for my knee was minimal at best. I consisted of using a walker for @ 30 feet and using a commode. This over more than a month. The attached bathroom had intermittent blockages so that even the attendants couldn't empty urinals. As for the commode, it often wasn't empty for two shifts. Night shift? Often listened to a lucid patient screaming for help for over an hour w/o relief. It was common not to receive nursing help for over an hour. Ultimately, I became incontinent with explosive diarrhea. Tested negative for Cdif (took days for any results) but often had to lay in my own filth for hours overnight. After 8 days without respite, I was asked if I wanted to be transferred to a hospital, to which I readily agreed. While severely dehydrated, and on an IV, I recovered control over my bowels in two days. The only conclusion was the food. I am a strong male with only arthritis. I shudder to think of a debilitated aged person in this situation. I was very upset and would not be discharged back to this facility.

Not sure who I am more angry with this facility or Aetna. My sister was admitted here after being denied multiple times by Aetna for the facility the hospital staff recommended. During Covid sent her further away from family than she had to be and not the appropriate facility for her medical needs. Staff's communication on her care was poor at best. Mo seemed to be the only person working (he provided facetime when he could and for maybe 2-5 minutes) and was stretch so thin he couldn't provide the best with so many task he was given. For a nonverbal patient with a trach and respitory issues as well as a previous incident of her heart stopping at the hospital because her trach had not been cleared in a timily fashion, you would think they would keep a closer eye. Not here! My sister came in progressing well including the day the nurse called very nonchalant to inform my mother my sister had suddenly passed after a nurse walked pass seeing her arm in the air but not checking as to why and a PCA not long after found her nonresponsive. How does a patient come in on a good track to coming home and just needing to gain strength and weened off of the trach and vent, getting an excellent report during day shift to deceased not 3 hours into night shift. I've waited months to post this review in hopes communication and request my mother has done would be met appropriately. Unfortunetly that isn't the case at all. I work for a hospital in another state and know for sure so much of her care was inadequate and her death is greatly due to negligence. For those that has received great care I'm happy for you just wish my sister was given the same. The one star is for the one star employee Mo.

Horrible. Would not send my worst enemy there. These reviews about call bells are exaggerated because my mother waited 30 minutes to be answered. She also told me she saw various staff members sleeping at the nurses station. One nurse in particular, Angelica, was rude, dismissive, and an embarrassment to the nursing profession. I am lucky my mom survived this place. DO NOT GO HERE.

Lake view has been the best experience for my loved one . My fiancés grandfather was treated with moral respect throughout the facility. My loved one had a knee replacement and was admitted to lake view and this was the best choice we could have ever made . From the caseworkers visiting us at the hospital to the admissions director Zelmy giving us the opportunity to be a part of the lake view family . The nurses , aides, social workers and everyone were always happy to be at work . Not a day goes by that I regret bringing my loved one to this facility. As per my loved one food was beyond great felt like a home cooked meal every night . The food was always warm and and delivered in a timely manner . Call bells are retrieved in a timely manner . If it wasn't a nurse that came into the room to help, it was another employee from the facility that entered the room to make sure everything was okay . There wasn't a day that the call bell was on and someone passed by without asking if my loved one was okay . Facility was kept well maintained and cleaned at all times. The administrator Brian , would randomly come in and ask if we were okay and if anything was needed . The rehab director Kerry was phenomenal and had my loved one up and going within a few weeks. When oxygen was needed Yvonne did not hesitate to come into the room and assist . When being discharged come , there was no problems with medications and orders . Nicole the social worker made sure that everything was in order and accessible before the discharge . The discharge process was easier than any other facility we have been to . Overall , I would definitely recommend lake view to other families, friends . There wasn't any disappointments .

My mother was at Lakeview following a long and complicated hospital stay after she suffered a terrible stroke. As a family we are extremely grateful to the facility. The nurses were outstanding and the pulminary rehab team consisted of highly skilled and dedicated professionals. We found the housekeeping staff to be exceptionally courteous and pleasant. The administrator of the facility was extremely nice and helpful every step of the way. Thank you Lakeview!

My mother was at lakeview after a triple bypass My siblings and I were so confused as what to do. A friend of ours mentioned lakeview and we could not have been more happy. The social worker at lakeview held our hand and walked us through the entire process she was so helpfull. My mother enjoyed the rehab and made great strides. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating the customer service was something i have never seen. The place was always clean and smelled great.

Just an ok place. Nothing special and staff at times appear lazy. Not trained to handle patient's with dementia. And.....if you ever have a question regarding billing they outsource to Future Care who should not be in business. They are extremely incompetent which backs up their D- BBB rating. Lakeview do yourself a favor and hire a new billing company.

I was in for rehab. I couldn't walk and was in horrific pain. When I rang for assistance I would wait hours for help and then if and aide came, she would have to tell a nurse I need pain med and it would be hours more. I never sufferered so horribly in my life. It was inhumane. I peed the bed more times then I can count and have I am a young woman. Some of the staff were also very intimidated. I was terrified and helpless. One of worst experience of my life.

Our son has traumatic brain injury, and was in car here for almost a year. They don't shower bed patients and don't have shower tables. They broke his femur, this a 27 yr old. They have poor staff , when it comes to their social worker and connecting with patients family she needs the boot. The manager/ owners are arrogant people who care about one thing. MONEY Beware of false hospitality when you visit. We should of sued them, but my concern is of my son's well being and not money.

I was so pleased with the care that my mother received at Advanced Care Center at Lakeview. The staff was always warm and friendly and the nursing care was excellent. Because of their hard work and dedication, my mother recovered and returned home ahead of schedule. I will always be grateful for the excellent nursing care that she received.

The staff was lazy and mostly unprofessional. My grandmother had to use the bathroom and according to Dr's orders she couldn't put any weight on her legs. When she called for help the "nurses" at the desk told her to just "go" in her bed and they'd clean her up later. The staff generally treated my grandmother like she was mentally retarded. I was terrified to leave her there without any outside family supervision. My family warned the staff there that my grandmother was very depressed after the accident and we wanted her to be engaged as possible with many accivities to keep her busy. Instead of listening, she sat in her bed for hours bored and depressed. They did have birds there which helped with rehabilitation, but my grandmother said the chirping was so loud it was irritating. They did allow us to have as many people as we wanted to visit at a time. There was one nurse that seemed to listen to us and took our concerns seriously. The rest of the staff was a joke, very condescending and uncaring. I don't know how this facility touting such a high rating, it was awful.
