My mother-in-law was at Arbor Glen for rehabilitation for almost a month after a fall, the care that she received from the nurses, aides, and the therapist was extraordinary. the staff was helpful and caring.

We had my relative there for a brief period of time before he contracted Covid and was sent to the hospital. Three of us each experienced the abrasive and abruptness of the night staff who seemed annoyed to be asked to help with moving him so his back wouldn't hurt. The staff was generally on the computer so getting info and asking questions was not an easy thing. Never received a call from the Dr or nurse with updates until I specifically complained to the Social Worker that my cousin was told us the Dr told him he was anemic. The day nurse was very helpful but the rest of the staff needs some sensitivity training.

After 2-1/2 years of debating and fighting my felling I brought my lovely mom to Arbor Glen . Can’t said that I found the right place because “the right place” is with me, with us, with her family, but I will said that I found a place where she is under professional care ALL the time for her special needs. We are very grateful with ALL the staff who direct or indirectly involved and who take such delicate care with her and work hard. I can’t mention every name of this wonderful team, but I do have respect and admiration for each one.

It is my opinion this facility can do better. There were issues with responding to patients families that was visible even in the hallways. In my opinion to staff oh, the CNAs are great but the administration comes off very aggressive, lacking compassion and it is our experience that they for not helpful and in fact rude and made us look elsewhere for assistance. The administrator that was there really caused our family issues. Interactions with Carla, Kathy, and the sides were great. Some of the other staff seems agitated or dismissive in our opinion. The rooms are ok. They could be cleaned more in our experience.

The administration here does not consider family complaints. If you complain, you become a target. The main culprit is their nurse executive Eshyia Holmes RN. Very unprofessional, rude, and off putting. When a grievance was brought up, she became very hostile and said, verbatim, "I am from the hood, I am from Paterson NJ". She treated my brother in-law with indifference when he brought up some concerns about his mother's care. This place is all a facade. The humble underpaid nurse aids and floor nurses are good people trying their best to tend to the needs of the residents. They are a stark contrast from the the overpaid administrators who have no interest in hearing family concerns and worries.

Please stay away. These people treat their residents horribly. I was their almost everyday for 2 years and it was always something. My grandfather would be covered in old pee. Rashes all over his body and they never treated him they just kept saying he has "dry skin" which was not the case. I found a nurse sleeping in my grandfathers room. My grandfather was suppose to be on a pure diet and they kept giving him whole foods. Please listen.... if you care about your family memeber dont send them here

On October 4, 2015 my husband was found unresponsive by the second shift nurse while doing her rounds. My husband did not receive the proper care immediately the nurse had to call the doctor beforehand in order to get permission, on what to do regarding critical state. The nurse then proceeded to administer diabetic medication to my husband because his blood sugar had gone to a level of 34 anything past 70 is dangerous for a diabetic. Once the nurse provided the medication to my husband his blood sugar had went up to only 43. In the meantime my husband was still unresponsive-in addition my husband had a stroke at the same time. Once again the nurse did not get the proper assistance for him; my husband was on life support as of today he has never fully recovered from his ordeal. My husband is currently in a mild vegetative state, had my husband received the proper care immediately he would have fully recovered. Shame on this facility for their neglect of my husband, if anyone is thinking about sending their love ones to this facility Do Not Send Them Their Run and Keep Running as Quickly as You Can!! Just because a facility looks nice on the outside doesn’t mean they are providing quality care for our loves ones.

The first nursing home my mom was in was at Arbor Glen Center and it was horrible. The facility was kind of dark. Their room was small, but it was clean. The food was not good and that was also our problem because mom was not eating well. My mom ended up getting very dehydrated there because she wasn’t eating or drinking. She ended up getting to the hospital with an infection. I felt like no one was doing anything for her there. I just kept seeing her sicker and sicker every day. It was really a horrible experience for us. They do have activities like bingo. They also had a man who came in and sang. They have a very nice activity director.

The place is clean. The lobby is very clean and the staff there is nice. the elevators could use some cleaning. The rooms are very clean. The nursing staff is friendly. The bathrooms are clean. I had a party in one of their rooms for a resident and it was a very cordial atmosphere. Parking facilities are great with a lot of spaces. My friend likes it there and says that she is being treated very well there by the staff of the facility. I would recommend this place to elderly people contemplating a nursing home.

My uncle is autistic and has been placed here. The facility itself is very clean and organized. The staff was hit-or-miss, either extremely accommodating or too busy to answer questions. The quality of care, however, in my view is absolutely excellent. My uncle was previously in another facility and did not get nearly as good care. They've helped him a lot just by providing basics that other facilities have missed from the start. They have a lot of activities, a big community area and the other residents were very friendly and welcoming. All of his tests and labs are handled on-site, this facility has a ton of specialized medical departments. This is a huge plus because in the past he would have to be taken to the hospital to perform simple test. All in all it has been a good experience for my Uncle so far and I see no reason why it will not continue to be this way.
