My father is at Candlelight Lodge Retirement Center. They're all right with me. I have no complaints. He said they're good to him. I don't have a problem with the staff. I have not seen anything that is wrong or anything. I only have good things to say about them right now. On the weekends, they're so busy, so it's hard to get to talk to him. He said the food is good. I don't like his room; it's too small. They have activities, but I haven't seen them because you can't get in. You can only visit on the outside for 20 minutes. The building is as good as it gets. When I first went in there I didn't know they had dementia and Alzheimer's patients, and they get mad and throw coffee on the floor. They have a garden and a flower bed. He's in the locked ward.

I went to Candlelight Lodge Retirement Center, but I was not impressed. The building was rundown, and their memory care unit was atrocious. It was not good, but the people were fine. The rooms were old, rundown, and needed a lot of repair. The memory care unit was not in a separate building. There were no activities going on there.

Candlelight Lodge Retirement Center is perfect, and we love them. They have all kinds of activities and they also have dog shows that go in there. We like everything about the place. The staff is awesome, very understanding and very professional. They have all kinds of things for the ladies, everything from sewing or knitting. And the place itself is very clean and the food is really good too. The people there are very friendly.

Candlelight Lodge Retirement Center had more care and more services than my parents need at this time. It was a lockdown place so the care level was much higher. It was an older building but there were parts that I liked. It wasn’t brand new, but it had its own ambience. Some of the residents there were not as alert because they needed more care but there were still a lot of them that you could talk to and have conversations and friendships with.

My mother-in-law is getting situated in Candlelight Lodge. They have bingo, they present program appropriately, and they have some singing on weekends. Her room is small, but she doesn't have a roommate, so that's good.

Candlelight Lodge is alright; they do care for my wife. The staff seemed to take care of the people very well and keep the place clean. They bring out their meals. Each person had a small room of their own, and they furnished it with a bed and a dresser. They had their own private bath. All the rooms are private. The location is alright; it's right in town.

The staff is wonderful! We were so suprised at how well they welcomed us at the first visit. We stayed and had lunch, and was sold! Neither one of us needed to look any further.

We looked at several Columbia retirement communities, but Candlelight was the best for price and convenient location for my great-uncle. When we first moved him in, we felt like he was on vacation. We never have to worry about anything. Even something as small as changing a light bulb is handled with one call. Living here is like a vacation for my great-uncle. The food is great as well.
