Assisted Living Communities in Moberly, MO

"Staff is typically friendly, elderly are nice, the place feels more like a hotel home then a nursing home. The entrance to it is a little bit 'creaky'. The floors squeek when you walk down them, but they are nicely kept. The assisted living is like walking into a house with a small living room at the entrance and then a foyer area at the end of the hallway. This is where the residents watch TV outside their rooms. The assisted living added on more rooms and added a small fountain area for outdoors. There is a walking trail for outgoing residents. This is a 24 hour nursing home with shifts from 7am to 3pm and 11pm to 7am. This area is frequently visited by neighborhood pets, like cats and small dogs. Each side of the assisted living place has a balcony. Most residents use walkers or canes to get by in this assisted living area. "

"It was a great place. The staff was very nice and very attentive to the needs of the residents. The Director of Activity was very good, very confident, and very interested in their clients. If I'd take my parents anywhere, I'd probably take them there. They had 1- and 2-bedroom apartments with full kitchens and living room areas. Indoor garages were available which they can access from outside. They had activities going on, and the price included 2 meals a day for independent living and 3 meals for assisted living. I really liked the place. It was very clean with good security."

"I found this facility upon my visit to be clean and the staff friendly. I was visiting a friend from church. It was a Sunday and she had just participated in the services the facility offered and seemed quite content. I was offered to join in the afternoon activity and dessert which was pleasant. Her room is quite small and holds no closet room. She has been on a waiting list for a private room for years. "

"My experience with Ravenwood Assisted Living has been good on some levels and bad on others. My grandmother is a tenant of the home, and she has her own private room, in which she can have her own antique furniture, pictures of family, along with a television and refrigerator for her comfort. The room itself, along with the dining accommodations, are top-notch. I haven't had any experience with the area of the facility that deals with tenants who need extensive care, so I cannot speak to the accommodations there. There have been instances where it does not seem like the staff have visited or ensured that my grandmother has bathed or changed clothing, so this would be the only detractor to the facility over the way that it looks."

"My husband was at Sturgeon Rest Home, but we moved him out. He fell out of bed a couple of times, and they didn't tell me, so I was not happy with his care. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The grounds were nice, and it was convenient. He was in a shared room, but they had their own beds and TVs."

"My mother is in Bristol Manor of Salisbury. I have chosen this place because it is close to me. The only thing I do not like is that there are not any activities, but that may be because of Covid. The staff members are very helpful. My mother likes the food. The place needs to be updated, but other than that, it is kept pretty nice and very good. They got an outdoor patio. I live twenty minutes away, so it is close to me and that is what my mother wanted. She has been there for one month now. If they could have activities that would be great. They are very nice and very attentive. Every need is taken care of. Maybe they could use more staff. I think they have trouble keeping staff, but they do a great job with what they got."
