Marvella is spectacular, but it has some concerns about growing density in the neighborhood. It's over-the-top beautiful. It's very modern and very, very luxurious. They've got a swimming pool, a whirlpool, a gym, and dining. It's a super luxury community. I only met one staff person, and she was excellent. It's breathtaking.

I just have my name on Marvella's list. It's more of a modern contemporary, which is what I like. All the ones that I've looked at are old-fashioned, and they're like old people's homes. Marvella seems to be the closest to more of a modern, contemporary, and open space look, and all the other ones that I visited seem like little old lady homes, and it's depressing to me. I think their floor plans are fine. I saw both one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. I like its physical condition. They showed us around everything, like the dining room area, the bistro to eat or pick up things, and the movie theater. They were very nice, very thorough, and answered all my questions. They spent the time showing me around and answering what I wanted to know.

We have never had a bad meal here. The desserts are especially good. Even the coffee is pretty good. My Mother is in Assisted Living and for the most part they seem to care and do a good job. Her room is very nice and the facilities are very nice. I do not like that they charge extra to bring her meals to her room. We pay extra for them to bring her down for meals but they often do not and then she has to pay for a room tray. They have also brought her down for meals and left her there. So now she is anxious about going down. The theater is very nice and they have popcorn and M&Ms for the residents. Movies are a couple times a week. There is also Table Tennis for those who can do that kind of thing. The Salon is a nice feature. The patio is very nice when it is warm enough. In general I would say she gets good care.

Marvella was brand new, so that was nice. It's very close to me, and it was just very beautiful. The units were very nicely laid out and had an even more interesting layout than some of the others. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The amenities were nice, very beautiful, and well-designed. It's not dark and much nicer. They had a dining facility, a bistro, a little gym, physical therapy, and a theater.
