Masonic Pathways really worked with us to get an opening for my dad. They also have really nice and phenomenal facilities. Even in the dementia wing, the residents have their room and bathroom. The quality of the food is really good. Every day, there's a special and if they don't like that, they can pick from about six other choices and multiple side choices. They have a lot of resources to get to doctors' appointments. They also take both Medicare and Medicaid. We are very satisfied. The ratio of staff to patients is amazing and the amount of attention they get, not just for getting treatment but also somebody passing through their room and talking to him, is phenomenal. It's absolutely gorgeous. You don't feel like you're in a nursing home. They make sure they get my dad a cookie and snacks at night. There's a lot of hands-on attention. They have beautiful carpeting. They have ceramics and activities, like sewing, coloring, and bingo. They also have lots of little neat things like yesterday we went and picked my dad out a new sweater from the free boutique that they have where you can go and get really nice used clothing. That one is very unique. You also don't have to be a Mason to live there and it's open to everybody. They have a hydrotherapy tub. My dad doesn't have to leave his floor to get a haircut, and they also have on-site optical exams and clinics. It costs $5 to get to a doctor's appointment round trip. They have a beautiful on-site chapel and beautiful grounds. The rooms look like nice little apartments and special touches like designer bed spreads and beds with all the features of a hospital bed but they don't make it look like a hospital bed. Every room also has a recliner. It's really nice.
