My father-in-law has used Reeds Cove Health and Rehabilitation. They were fairly clean and very well organized. He is a vegetarian, and they went out of their way to accommodate his needs. The nurses were knowledgeable and well trained, and the aides were friendly. It was a pretty good facility. The staff members were really good people and well trained. He's very fussy with food, but they were able to figure out that he would eat brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and toast. The facility was well maintained and didn't smell bad. They were always keeping it clean. They would take him out, they would play games, and there were certain things for seniors with dementia and Parkinson's that they would do. It was a pretty spread out facility, so he would walk to his physical therapy and maybe wheelchair back. Some of these places are really expensive, and these guys weren't like that.

When we first go there, employees didn’t know where we needed to go. It was understaffed in the evenings. As we were checking in, two other family members of other patients were complaining. Nurses call buttons were answered slowly. I pointed out the nurse call in the restroom was broken. Twice, a CNA messed up the water canister to the oxygen supply. I happened to come in early that morning and I thought my grandfather was dying. Vitals were all really low and he was struggling to breath. They put a mask on his and set him up. They left the room and for the second time, I discovered his oxygen tank wasn’t working. Unacceptable. I waited for some time to speak to the director. He promised to look into it can give me a call. Nine hours later I called him. Oh, they said he needed to stay 14 days but kept him 20, which just happens to be what Medicare covered. I’ve heard things like this happen everywhere, but having nothing to compare it to, it was BAD. I wouldn’t send anyone there!

My father was in Reeds Cove for rehabilitation. The staff was very helpful. They wouldn't always follow through on things I asked for, but it's probably because I didn't know who to ask. They took good care of him. The rooms there were fine; they were just normal rooms. The food was good and they're good about taking him out to the dining room. Their dining room was a common area with a lot of the tables pushed together, so everybody could visit with each other if they wanted. The administrative staff was very helpful in filing for long-term health care. They also had a scheduled special event while he was there, which we all enjoyed. They had a lovely area outside with a garden, and people could walk around outside, which was nice.

My mom was at Reeds Cove Health and Rehabilitation. They did a good job. They all had private rooms with private bathrooms. My mom's room was very big, and we can fit a lot of people there. My mom had physical therapy on her arm and her leg. She also had cognitive and occupational therapy. The staff was really good, attentive, and took care of their patients well. The food was good. They had a hairdresser and you could get a manicure. It's a relatively new place, and the grounds were well-kept. My mom moved there in January.

My dad had his rehab at Reeds Cove. He was there for two months therapy. The staff was very helpful. They taught him how to walk. The room was very spacious. The food was very good and really enjoyed it. The people impressed me most.
