My sister is in Countryside Health Center. It looks like a mental hospital. That's what it reminds me of. It smells OK. The one thing that bothers my sister is that the mental people because she is afraid of them. She is in a semi-private room. It is very small. They need to improve on the activities. There isn't as much here; it doesn't seem to be.

I visited this facility
I set up an appointment to tour this facility today. I was impressed with the customer service skills exhibited by the receptionist and had high expectations. When I arrived, I was also impressed by the location of the building. Despite being only a few miles from a major railway shipping station, it was on the outskirts of a lovely, quiet, classic 1950s-style residential neighbourhood which even had a classic, retro Hamburger Stand in operation. The area was beautiful, with big front lawns on all the houses and very large, old trees lining the streets. On the other three sides the building was skirted by big corn fields with a river in the background. The building itself was a one-story brick building that looked to be in good repair.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get into the building despite my appointment. Though the sign out front and the building address confirmed I was in the right place, all four of the doors were locked and no lights were on in the building. I would be interested in trying again at this facility since I had several good impressions, but I would not recommend it to anyone without being able to get inside.
Furthermore, I was told on the phone that this facility specialises in the care of patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. In that respect, it would probably not be a good fit for those individuals simply seeking a little extra assistance with the physical ramifications of ageing.
