My dad moved into Derby Assisted Living. They have a great nursing staff. The rooms are not too big, not too small, and just right for getting around. The staff is treating my dad well, like a family. It is close to the community that my dad lived in before. His room was clean. It was more economical.

My mom was in Derby Assisted Living. The appearance was nice, the dining area was nice, everything was nice with it, and it's more like a home. They had movies, they had people come in and sing and play, they had bingo and cards. They had a country store. The staff was nice and the facility was clean.

I chose Derby Assisted Living because the rooms are larger and it was a better fit for me. I'm just a new resident, so everything has been excellent. The staff is great. I have standby on my bath, and it's great just to have someone there because I fall. They have very good meals, and they offer three a day. There's a rehab center and care home right behind it. Breakfast is excellent and they'll fix anything for you if you don't like what they have. They have an activity director. Last Friday, they took some of the women shopping on the bus. They've always got something going on. The price is about normal for this area and the facility itself is wonderful.
