My mother-in-law was in Good Samaritan Society - Indianola for rehab. It was very pleasant, it was a good experience. It was very clean, they were very organized. They even came to the house afterward, and still give her some extra care, the nurses and the therapist. So that was good. She likes the food, but she doesn't eat much. They made her macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes, which she wanted, along with some other things they tried to get her to eat. The rooms were very nice and very easy to find. The staff was wonderful.

I toured the Good Samaritan Society - Indianola. Everyone was very friendly. They were very informative. They seemed to be knowledgeable about why they're there and they're not just there as a job. The staff was good. They were attentive. They answered questions. They tried to include everything that they possibly could. They let me know what I needed to do and any further steps that needed to be taken to try and get things going. They took their time, and they did a very good job. They listened to what we needed. The building has multiple layers. It's kept very nice. I was impressed with their exercise/therapy room. I liked that. And they have a lot of activities going on. The room size is a lot different than what my husband has right now. It would be more like a shared room. There would be a bathroom. And with all that is going on and everything that they have, they would be coming and helping my husband get there. He would have all of his meds and stuff taken care of, so I wouldn't have to worry about that. And there would be some type of alarm on the door letting people know, 'Hey, somebody is walking out the door.' The rooms are not huge, just adequate.

We chose Good Samaritan Society - Indianola for my father because I and two of my brothers live here. It's nice. They got nice apartments, and they have facilities where they can have activities. They have stuff outdoors, and they have like a little area where you walk your dog because they allow you to have animals. My father has access to medical assistance if he needs it right there, and if he must have physical therapy, it's right there. Everything is just right there. We only met a couple of the staff, and they're nice. My father won't have the food program because they have full kitchens and he can cook for himself. I think the facility is awesome.
