"Laporte City Nursing & Rehab C was a very clean place. The people were very kind. It was very well organized. I like the tour they gave us. "We found St. Francis for my mother after she could no longer take care of herself the final few months of her life. Everything about it was first rate. The facility was newer,and clean. The staff was fantastic from the administrator down to the nurses, aides, and even the cleaning staff. They made our mother feel at home from the beginning, and would even check to see how we were doing and if we needed anything prior to her death. I cannot say enough good things about them. I highly recommend them! "

My mother is in a shared room. Music is played for the residents since they cannot endure physical activities. I tried their food and it was yummy. The family can even request from the facility if they want to dine together with the residents. "

"My husband is in Pinnacle Specialty Care, but he is still in his rehab room. He is waiting for a long-term room, and so far, that hasn't come up. Nevertheless, I'm pretty satisfied with them. As far as I'm concerned, they have given him good care. Of course, he is not satisfied because he wants to come home, so he finds things wrong, and he keeps telling me what they're doing or what they are not doing. However, all my dealings with them have been good. The staff members are very good. When I have questions or I want to get messages to him, they will take the phone to him and give him the message. So I like the way they're working with him. I've not tried the food myself, but I help him eat dinner usually every night. He is diabetic, so they don't have a lot of carbs and all that for him. The food is good for him, too. My husband's room is nicely sized. It has a bathroom, a bed, and a chair. They let us bring in a larger TV than what they have, so he could see it better. I do his laundry, so they put that in a special bag for me, and I take it home. They've been very helpful to me and to him. Of course, every place is busy, and sometimes it takes a few minutes to get to him if he wants something, but that's a usual thing for any place you go."
