We toured Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center. It was very clean. You could tell the residents were well taken care of. They offer a lot of nice amenities. It was a very pleasant place. We were hoping we could get my husband there, but they didn't have an opening at the time. They have physical therapy and different activities every day. They have games and other stuff, too. It was very well kept up nicely. We never tried their food, but they were cooking the meal, and it sure smelled good, so I imagine it was good. It was a very nice place.

My family member was placed @ SHCC, had a lovely private room that was kept clean, meals were very good @ outset but fell below par when change in staff occurred. Meal menus (and guest dining) went downhill fast, to the point visitors were not WELCOME for holiday meals. Staff was caring and though many were sent from a staffing agency and employees were short in numbers, it was decent. The activities were very inclusive of all residents. Change in administrators became a door spinning dial. Then coVid came along. I had to forgo any form of visits which was crushing for our family and loved one. Several family visitation accommodations were suggested, absolutely none were implemented. I requested our loved one be included in frequent activities and was told forcing activities was illegal. The early deaths from pandemic included our loved one and we didn’t even so much as receive a sympathy card or online condolence. The Board of Directors needs an awakening to the main problems of the facility which would include replacement of a person to restore a reputation as a fine facility IMHO. After paying cash to the tune of $250K for a 3 yr stay, I feel entitled to complain and expect improvement.

I must say that I have not been pleased with the overall condition of the rooms and the staff are not pleasant. It seems very depressing there since they very rarely do activies with the people staying there. I have been voicing my concerns to my family and now we are considering moving her to another location.
