I chose Walnut Ridge because the community atmosphere was very nice, but also, they had a pool, and I can exercise in the water because I have a bad back and leg. They have actual water aerobics classes, and they have a gym, too. You can walk on treadmills and bicycles and all that. I can spend the rest of my life here because it has care throughout life. It has an underground garage that I can park in. It has a library, a theater, and church services. They even have an ATM. They feed you a continental breakfast. They have a restaurant where you can have lunch and supper. It's a very nice place. They're very helpful and courteous. So far, I've only eaten there once, and it was probably a four. Its physical appearance is very good. There's something every hour on the hour, practically. Also, dogs and cats are allowed. I don't have one, but I've seen them around the building, and everybody loves them.

Walnut Ridge was larger. The hallways were wide and tall. It had a lot of glass and a lot of light. The recreation room includes a pool for exercise and classes. They had a large whirlpool area. The grounds there are more open. It's nice and green. The variety of food seemed more expansive. They bring in music groups and theater groups. Their activity levels were a step above average. They work with Medicaid and other services. They have a fund. They don't kick people out if they live so long and run out of money. Everyone seemed very professional. They're a little pricey.

Walnut Ridge wasn't in the same neighborhood that I was used to and enjoyed living in, but the person I met there was very, very good and followed up with me. The rooms looked satisfactory. The dining area looked good. I liked that they had a continuum of care so if I had to move to assisted living from independent living, I could. They have an additional benefit that you don't have to move, because the assisted care would come to you. That was a good benefit. It looked well maintained.

We liked Walnut Ridge because it had a swimming pool, water aerobics, and a first-floor apartment for my aunt's dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their meal was a good portion for the elderly, not a lot, and have a wide variety of choices. The halls between elevators just seemed shorter.

My mother-in-law lived there 11 years in Indepent Living until she had to go to assisted living. It is an excellent facility and the people and staff are very friendly. We considered assisted living there because we liked the facility so well, but decided to move her closer to us. I would highly recommend Walnut Ridge!

We went to look at Walnut Ridge. It was beautiful and probably newer than the other ones. It was just a lovely campus. I could have moved in there. They have lots of amenities. They had a gym for the residents to go down to. They had a beautiful dining room. I was honed in on the memory care, which was locked and a much smaller area. It just had 20 rooms, but it was beautiful. It was very, very clean. The cafeteria was like a restaurant. It was very nice. They had a nice view of the outdoors. They had a nice walking area for the residents to go outside and walk. They had a nice game room where the residents were all playing UNO. The staff was great.

I like Walnut Ridge very much. It is probably where I will go, but not for about three years. I looked at a 1-bedroom with a kitchen. The staff was very helpful. The director keeps in contact with me. She sends me a Christmas card or note if there's something special going on. They have been very attentive. They have a pool and do therapy in the pool. They have an exercise room, a theater, and a dining room. It was very pleasant and very clean, and I think you order from a menu there.

Walnut Ridge is excellent. We chose this place because of the staff and their professionalism, and because of the people that were happy walking around and saying that it was one of the best places that they had found. My mom has just moved into their independent living, and they also have assisted, skilled, and memory care. It is really fabulous. The staff is so caring, and they would stop and help you no matter what. They also have a minister on staff five days a week. They fix heart healthy food along with others, they have many choices, and they charge you per meal that you eat, and not a flat fee. They have a swimming pool and a fitness room, and they have crafts, games for the employees, yoga, and all sorts of activities going on. The facility is easy to get around, and they have benches and seating rooms for people to rest at in between going to rooms. I would say you're getting what you pay for, and it is very cost effective. There is no large deposit to put down.

I visited Walnut Ridge. It was one that probably came out on top for me in the area. They had beautiful views from the balconies. I primarily looked at two-bedroom apartments. The bedrooms were spacious and there was a lot of closet space. Walnut Ridge had an underground garage area. They presented to me some of the same things in terms of the theater, the game room, and the exercise room. One thing that strikes me is that they have a pool there.I go to water aerobics three times a week, so that would be something that I would continue there. They have the option of an indoor pool, which is good because I know of the thorough exercise the pool provides; it's an overall exercise.

We like Walnut Ridge really well. The one reason we liked that place was that it's a little more in our budget than other places. Also Clive is where all of our doctors are at. It is also where the hospital that we go to is at. I like it because if I'm doing the driving, I'm close to all the places we go. Because of the virus, you don't get involved with too many people, but the people who toured us were very helpful and very nice. They answered all the questions that I had on my paper. The room was very nice and very clean. When somebody leaves, they repaint it, and they clean the carpets. It's very clean and very nice. The staff probably spent half an hour with us.

Walnut Ridge was very big, and there were a lot of very nice amenities, but it seemed a little more formal than what we were looking for. The staff was very nice. They had a swimming pool. The apartments were also very nice.

Mom likes the location of Walnut Ridge, and it was affordable. It was in the suburbs. She was on the ground floor, she wanted a walkout, and they accepted dogs. The people were very nice, and the staff was very nice.

Walnut Ridge Senior Living seemed fine. It is just that my dad doesn't want to move there, so he is not going. But the people seemed fine; the place seemed fine; and I had no complaints. The food was really good. The only complaint about the place would be that it was so huge. They had to make it taller, so that the hallways aren't so long because the old people can't make it through the long hallways.

When my mother-in-law visited a few weeks ago, she had Walnut Ridge on her list. We had just come off an amazing facility that had a great tour. Walnut Ridge was very close to being on par with that facility, but the tour itself wasn't as good(some people are just better at making pitches than others). This facility had almost everything: a great pool, a nice exercise room, Heated Parking areas and they take pets. The overall look is close to a nice college. The overall atmosphere was good and positive. The nurses and residents all seemed upbeat and acted as though things were good. One of the great features that I noticed was that they had on-site banking. With great staff, great amenities and a very nice facility there was little to complain about. One of the nicest amenities was the fact that they have guest rooms. They actually allow visitors to stay there. That was a huge sell for me. Overall, I loved the facility and it was closer than the previous facility we looked at.

Not only is Walnut Ridge a beautiful place to live and a very active community, the positive energy is felt from the minute you walk in the door. When you walk in the front door there is always a group of 3 or more chatting and giving a welcome "hello". The home is full of a sense of community and caring.
