"Traditions of La Crescent was my top choice for my mother. It's nice, small, quaint, and friendly. Everybody working there was on top of things. The rooms were very spacious with a bathroom and windows. The dining area was nice and pretty spacious. We also toured the kitchen. It's a locked facility and they have 24-hour care. There's a living area with a TV, and there were other family members there visiting. They have an outdoor patio where residents and family members can go out and it's locked."

"I'm very impressed with SpringBrook Village of La Crescent. It's well taken care of. The rooms are very large. The people are very friendly. The food is incredibly good. It's homemade. Everything about it seems very good. There are fewer caregivers than I wish there would be, but that's true everywhere. In terms of activities, they do music, arts, and movies. They have entertainers, and they have this thing called slide drumming where they go and do African drumming."

At Hope Stay Memory Care, we make a difference in our residents' lives. ? As individuals grow older, they start losing mobility and need more assistance with their activities of daily living (ADLs). Daily tasks such as dressing, bathing and grooming or prepping meals can become difficult tasks that the older generation struggles to complete without assistance. This population used to contribute to the community when they were younger through their careers, families, serving our country and giving back to their local community. Now that they have aged, we at Hope Stay care for them to show both our appreciation and how much we value them. Family members can face the challenge of being unable to regularly assist their aging parents and loved ones due to work, family and other time commitments. At Hope Stay Memory Care, we have the experience, knowledge and tools to help your loved ones.To learn more about this providers license and review other available state reports, please visit: Wisconsin Department of Health Services Division of Quality Assurance Provider Search

"I like that the staff at Caretta Holmen were attentive to the residents. While Becky was talking to us, one of the residents needed attention, and she said, "Excuse me.", and went to take care of that. We liked that. We liked being interrupted because we thought that the care of the residents was most important. The cleanliness of the place is superior. It's very orderly and has a logical layout and design. The rooms are beautiful. Mom will be staying in their memory care. The room is small, but it's done very well. The layout is nice. They have fairly typical facilities. There are warm places to sit, as far as comfortable chairs, and places where residents can gather around tables and chairs. There was more than one place. So, a resident could also sit quietly on his or her own, which we liked. My brother, sister, and I looked at multiple places, and Caretta Holmen stood out by far."

"My mother-in-law moved to Eagle Crest North. The staff is very caring and very attentive. The security, as far as the memory care, is very good. She has a very nice one-bedroom suite overlooking a pond and some evergreen trees. It's scenic. It is a large room with a separate living area and a kitchen that's somewhat functioning. The food is good and there's a nice variety of residents that she's able to interact with, and other activities. My mother-in-law is very happy with them. Their price is on a par with other facilities. I don't think there's an exceptional amount of value, but I also don't think it's over-priced."

"Hearten House III is a memory care unit with 12 residents. They're a part of the Eagle Crest. They gave us a tour, and we picked a room because they had several rooms vacant. One of the directors of the whole Eagle Crest gave us a tour along with the director there. They showed us several rooms, and we chose one with a view. They introduced us to the nurse. There's a nurse on staff Monday through Friday, and two other workers for all shifts. We're very pleased. She sat with us and answered any questions and concerns we had, before we left. The thing I liked the most right now is how small and intimate it is. They told me that they will have activities every day for the residents to do. We saw them doing puzzles. They had a sun porch, and out in the back they had raised gardens that they could participate in. They have TV and 3 meals a day. The other thing that really impressed me is that they have eyes on every patient at least once an hour. You want to make sure they're doing things. They don't have to be taking temperatures or anything, but they make sure that they're OK. The food gets prepared at their main facility and trucked out to each of the houses. It was clean. It was open. They have short hallways, so that mom wouldn't have to walk very far to get to activities. They have places where they could go outside and sit on a porch. They have an activity room. If a family came and wanted to do some activities, they could close the doors; this room is available to use. They were so kind, so caring, and understanding. They do the meds in packs, so I won't have to worry about the meds anymore. I was very impressed. The facility has been recently remodeled with new floors, new carpeting, and painted. it's lovely and very comfortable."

"The only staff that we met at Sugar Loaf was the coordinator, and she has been really great. The facility is beautiful. What they have are apartments that are more independent, like in their assisted living facility. They do have tons of activities, from bingo and movies to exercise classes to outings and parties. They even have an exercise room. I really do like this facility, as it’s really nice. "

"Creamery Creek Senior Living is a wonderful place. It's brand new and my mother has full care. She does not have to do anything. Her apartment is cleaned, she gets all meals, and her laundry is washed. She's very happy there. They have people who check on her. It's one big building and she has her own separate little apartment. They always have entertainment and they sometimes bring schoolchildren in. They have a bus that takes them to different places. They always have activities going for them like exercise classes, and they have a beauty shop. The staff is wonderful. She likes the food, she never complains about it, and they have a good variety. We're very pleased with the place."
