We went on a tour, and looked like it would be the place for my mother-in-law because she has dementia, and they have a dementia unit. The room was spacious, but there was no kitchenette, and the bathroom was kept separate; it was not in the same room. It also looked very clean. There were several dining areas, and they looked fine. They had quite a few activities for the people. The staff was very polite and very nice.

My father will be moving into the Brickyard Healthcare - Merrillville Care Center. It worked well with his insurance, and it was close to family. He's going to their memory care unit. The staff has been very accommodating and easy to work with. They moved really quickly to get him into this facility, so that was very helpful. It's clean.

Very good OT and physical therapy department. I was there a month while recovering from injuries. They have nice activities for their residents.
