"My Father In Law was a resident in Independent Living and later in the Skilled Nursing Center. He loved the fine dining at Westminster Village and all the opportunities for recreation and socializing with others. My family had no concerns for his safety or care. "

"Sycamore Manor was very nice. The tour guide did a good job. He was also the chef evidently. They had a number of people come up to him and tell him how good the food was that day. The place was very nice. The apartments were very nice, too. They have a beauty shop and a movie theater. However, the apartments that they offered for Mother were upstairs which was not a good fit for us. Even though there's an elevator, my mother is blind, so that's not a good thing."

"I liked the one and two bedroom apartments at Shady Oak Village. The staff were nice and they talked to me during the visit. It was a small structure and there were not much activity programs. "

"My friend is now at Wyndmoor Senior Living Community. Her room is a studio with a bay window. It is kept clean. I feel like they are caring for her. However, it took a long time to get the microwave that was supposed to be there before she moved in. There are a number of choices that my friend has for activities, like they have craft activities, Bible studies, and bingo. There is musical entertainments that comes in to play once a week live. I have not eaten there, but it appears that they have a fairly good choice. The food is quite adequate. Wyndmoor is one of the licensed places and it is the least expensive. They have a movie theater that is also used for church services. They also have a free transportation to doctors' appointments two days a week, one day for shopping trips, and one day for eating out. There are vans or buses that will take wheelchairs."

"We were really impressed with Cannon Inn and mom is on the waiting list. The rooms were really clean and everything looked well-organized. She is looking forward to get in there. They have structured activities and stuff to do so she wouldn’t be left on her own. They also have a nurse onsite to dispense her medicines. The have Bingo, get-togethers, they have a hairdresser come in and they take you to the doctors and shopping. There seem to be something going on all the time. "

"My grandfather and grandmother were both residents of Burnsides Community Health Center. My grandfather was there for several years and received the best care my family could have ever asked for. My grandmother was there a few years ago also. The staff of Burnsides is very kind and friendly. They are also very knowledgable and go above and beyond to care for the residents there. They also make friends and family feel welcome whenever they go to visit a resident. The facilities are very well maintained and very comfortable. My grandparents both had to share a room with another resident however and although I realize that not all rooms can be private, it would have been nice to have someway to have a bit more privacy whenever we were there to visit with them. I'm sure their roommates would have appreciated a bit of privacy also. Burnsides also has an indoor visiting area, but it would be nice if there was an area set up outside too. Maybe a fenced in area to keep resident safe while outdoors. The sidewalks and front porch area are nice to get out and get some fresh air, but a bigger parklike area would be wonderful. I will be forever grateful to the staff of Burnsides for making the time that my grandparents spent there comfortable. "
