Sycamore Manor

I lived at Sycamore Manor. I liked the facility very much. It was very clean. The management was very nice. The residents were also very good, but I especially liked the activities director. What I liked least is that sometimes things would break down, like their elevator. The staff was excellent, especially the residents' assistants. They were helpful. They're just really on top of things. The food was good too. It was suitable for all residents as far as health issues. The grounds were very well maintained. The building itself looked very nice. They kept it very clean. I thought it was a good value for your money. The activities were always well planned and well organized. There were a variety of different activities.

I had a pretty good tour at Sycamore Manor. The staff covered everything. They had a little library, an area to see movies, an activity room, and they had a little courtyard. It was nice, and I kind of liked it. The lady that toured me was nice. The room that I saw was more like a studio apartment, and it was nice. It was located in a nice area. There was a mall right across from it. The outside had little patios, like little balconies. Every room had a balcony. The meal that I had was good.

Sycamore Manor was very nice. The tour guide did a good job. He was also the chef evidently. They had a number of people come up to him and tell him how good the food was that day. The place was very nice. The apartments were very nice, too. They have a beauty shop and a movie theater. However, the apartments that they offered for Mother were upstairs which was not a good fit for us. Even though there's an elevator, my mother is blind, so that's not a good thing.

There were parks and small shopping centers nearby Sycamore Manor. Activities were very nice. What we liked about it was the layout of the rooms. They were large and spacious. They also had several of the two-bedroom units for spouses or caregivers.

Sycamore Manor was a nice facility. The people were thoughtful and I was even invited to an open house. The cleanliness of the place stood out to me. They had limited activities compared to the ones I saw in Arizona.
