We chose The Reserve at Oswego for Uncle because they're exclusively memory care. Every place else was mostly assisted living with some memory care and he needs memory care. Kelly was excellent. She was not pushy. She just wanted to hear what we needed, and she was very helpful. They concentrate on people with memory care. Their bathrooms don't even have a shower because they shower them in a special facility. They do their laundry at the same time. They have a very nice outside area, which is important. They have everything you could think of. He can get his haircut there. They have a nurse on call. They have everything that he would need.

The Reserve at Oswego, located at 900 Douglas Road in Oswego, Illinois (60543), is a specialized Memory Care community dedicated to serving individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other forms of cognitive decline. With 40 memory care units in private and semi-private studio apartments, the community is designed with a warm, secure environment that emphasizes individualized attention and dignity. My wife is in The Reserve at Oswego. It's a nice place. I'm there every day, twice a day, I talk to them on a regular basis. It's very good communication between the facility and myself. I'm very happy with it. I have no complaints at all about the facility. She has a very comfortable, private room, it's a pretty good size, and everything that we need is there. It's a relatively new facility, probably only three or four years old. They have quite a few activities, but my wife is not partaking that much. I have no complaints about the food. It's only five minutes from my house, and that's another big plus.
