My mother-in-law was in Edgewood Spring Creek before she passed. She had a nice little patio, and the place seemed like it was smaller and more friendly. They have personable staff, and we felt that it had everything that we needed for her. They had an outstanding staff, they have good activities, very reasonable prices, and the manager was awesome. They had lots of good things. I didn't try it, but she enjoyed the food she was a little picky but she liked it. The place was clean and small, but not too small, and they've kept it up very nicely. They have good maintenance. They had a courtyard, she had her hair cut there because they had a salon.

My mom was moved in and I asked about some sores I noticed, it’s nothing was the response. Caregivers seem to relax and enjoy the couches more than the residents seem to. My moms room is the perfect size for her yet it’s supposed to be kept clean along with her clothes, bedding and bathroom. That doesn’t happen. More times than not her clothing, bedding and other items are in someone else’s room or never returned. Some caregivers actually care and will search for them. Or make sure she is well taken care of. One such person was there one day and we haven’t seen her since. When asked about her, they deflect the question. Strange because she truly loves my mom. Activities are minimal and the management lacks knowledge of what one department is doing to the next.

I went to see Edgewood Spring Creek at Overland in Boise. They didn't have memory care, but I love the place. It was great, and it felt good. They have 3 facilities, but none have a room at the moment. The one I went to was their assisted living facility. It looked great, and the outside was beautiful. I liked the person who assisted me. He was very informative, but we didn't have a lot of interaction. He had a nurse come in. We decided that it wasn't suitable for my husband because he needs supervision. I was also looking for assisted care with dementia, rather than memory care. The place just wasn't suitable for my husband who needs supervision. We walked through at noon. They had a kitchen right off the dining room, and you could see the staff preparing meals. People were eating in the dining room. It was full, and it looked and smelled good. I was there for maybe half an hour.

Moved my mom out after 2 months due to caregiver staffing problems. The kitchen and activities staff were great, but poor management of caregivers. My mom was not receiving the care we were paying for. She is in a much better place now where she is happier and getting much better care.

Staff are unaware of care plans and following them. Medical treatments done without notification of POA. Lost teeth and no tooth care or oral care. Lost clothes. No response to issues. Poor hygiene. Et al.........

We moved into Edgewood Spring Creek, it's been great and everyone has been really nice. I just have a one room with a restroom; it's got a little section with a microwave and fridge on it. I haven't been here long enough to see but our room could be a little cleaner. When we moved in here, I think it's been vacant for quite some time. The staff has been great. Maintenance has been helping us every day to get our lives in order and all the staff has been kind and considerate. The main chef has been has been gone; the food has not been up to what I would consider to be my standards. Hopefully it's gonna get better, she came back today, so. It had the amenities that we needed; it's open, cheery and light. There's always room for improvement overall.

I got a tour at Edgewood Spring Creek, and they were very nice. It seemed decent, the staff was very nice, and they were friendly. They had activities outside, they had a library, they had ice cream parties, and bingo. There wasn't a lot of parking, they had parking across, and in a different visit, there was hardly any parking. When we toured a room, that would have been a Medicaid room, it was small, cluttered, and too small for one person. It's a shared room, but it's like everything was crammed there. It felt like an institution.

I am staying in Spring Creek Manor. I’m happy here but sometimes it feels like we’re living more in a nursing home than an assisted living. We’re getting a lot of people that some of us don’t feel should be here because they are to the point where they can’t help themselves. Sometimes, we’re not really happy with the food. I’m pretty happy with most of the staff. We have a registered nurse, and she’s very knowledgeable. There is a hospital that’s not very far away. There are a lot of activities that I don’t care to participate in because they’re boring to me. We have a lot of people come in to perform with music and different things and I go to the ones that I know I like.

We had our parents move into a lovely one bedroom. Bright and sunny. They loved the food, and we can not say enough about the administrator Tom and his amazing staff. My folks were very happy there. My parents have since passed away. This wonderful facility worked hand and hand with hospice care, and made his last days comfortable and loving. My mother make lots of true friends, and loved the entertainment and activities provided. You won't find a better staff, as we they had lived in another facility, and were so happy they made the move to Spring Creek. We can honestly say the staff loved our parents. We had no worries about them ever. If there were 6 stars, I would give it.

Spring Creek Manor was a lovely facility with a very friendly staff. Close to a neighbourhood, the staff told me that they often receive visits from the neighbouring school children. The residents in the facility seemed very happy and had a nice living room area. This felt like a living room you would find in any neighbourhood, so I think this is a really nice touch. It doesn't feel like a "facility" but more like a comfortable house. The dining area had a combination feel of a clean kitchen and nicely decorated dining area, which gave a more homey feeling and everyone seemed to be happy. I did like that the residents could keep small companion dogs in their rooms and the facility did have a secure door, so residents have to have permission to leave. This is especially good for those with dementia and wandering tendencies. I believe that it would be improved if there were a few more independent living type things, like a garden plot my mother in law could use. She very much enjoys gardening. Other than that, I was very happy with what I saw.
