I visited this facility as a prospective place for my elderly in-laws. They are beginning to become more dependant on the assistance of others and my wife and I began to search locally for an assisted living home. We want to avoid the bigger assisted living homes as we feel our elderly loved ones may not get the attention they need and deserve. Upon searching I found this nice little nursing home, I spoke to the man in charge of the facility and he states that it is a family run buisness since it's beginning in the early eightys. This caught my attention, it seemed just what my wife and I were looking for. After speaking to the owner of the facility I scheduled a meeting to tour the facility. I was quite surprised, it was a lovely home that was a family's home to start. I was told that the family that still lives there moved to stockbridge in 1961 and after the death of George L., the man's father, his mother Lucielle being a registered nurse obtained her license to open her nursing home and ran it with the help of her children who are also certified. The nursing home was very clean and well kept, the nursing home had the welcoming homely feeling, like entering grandmother's house. I would strongly recommened this nursing home to anyone considering a nice, warm, welcoming caring nursing home and staff to take care of their elderly loved ones.
