My mom moved into Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. It is great and it is going well so far. It's been kind of bad due to Covid, I had not able to do what I wanted to do. It has not been what I expected at all. But the apartment is awesome and she eats all the meals up. Bethel Gardens is a great place.

This place is awesome! It’s not as big and fancy as the new ones, but it is very family oriented in a more “home” like setting. The rooms are decent size. They have a wide variety for meals. They have activities all day for both memory care and AL. They give you one price and it’s all inclusive with free cable. They are all just one big family there. Very nice!

I didn't like Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care at all. Everybody looked like they were just sitting around doing nothing. I don't want that type of environment for my mother. I need my mother stimulated. The staff was bubbly and very open. They want my mother to come there. They wanted me to pay the money, that's why they were very nice. However, overall, looking at the residents there, they don't look like they have life in them. I do not want my mother to go to that location. The building was OK. It smelled like they were not cleaning.

My father moved into Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. So far, I like the staff, even though they appear to be short-staffed right now. It takes a while to get some of his clothes washed, but the employees that are there are very good and friendly. My dad likes most of them. They spend a lot of time with him and talking to him. Everybody from the director on down spends time talking with him. I like his room size. I like that they have activities every day in the morning and the afternoon. They take care of medications, and all the amenities are included in the price.

I went to visit Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. Their price was reasonable even though it was way out of what I could do. I loved everything about them, they seemed like a 1-stop shop. They have doctors and podiatrists there, and the lady we spoke to, which was the director, she's a nurse. So my father-in-law didn't need to leave to go anywhere, and if anything happened to him, they're able to take care of it all right there and make sure he's safe. I didn't have to worry about him being rushed to the hospital and I'd have to rush to the hospital to see what was going on. The staff there seemed very knowledgeable and everything worked just a certain way, and everybody likes them. They get up and talked to the residents as they pass them in the hall. The reaction of the people that we saw there said that they were happy and well taken care of. The place was bigger than the other community I toured, there were no shared rooms and everybody had their own rooms so that was nice. They had nice-sized bathrooms and closets, and they give you a little mini fridge as well. They had a salon and a haircut place, but what struck me was all the medical staff available there.

I visited Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. It wasn't as nice as a room if I were to compare, but it was clean. The people were very nice. It was a little smaller, and they have fewer patients there. The staff talked about the patients, encouraging them to go more outside, and that they had like a nice big porch area, a covered area. She talked about them having a garden area, but she didn't take me out to it. She took me into the rooms, the rooms were a little smaller, but they were clean. I think the kitchen area, where most of the people, their patients, go to eat, they were having entertainment there for them. They were having entertainment there for them, they had the chairs around so that their patients could sit and listen to the music. She said that they would be doing more; whoever the people were, or whoever the manager was before this lady came, maybe there weren't doing as much for their patients. She was talking about how she was going to be doing more for the patients so that they would be more active. So that's about as far as we went. They were very friendly. The general manager said that she was a nurse, and she talked about her background. I would say they were all very friendly, and they all spoke up. She was very knowledgeable from her experience of work. She had only been up there for about a month. I got there after lunch, so they didn't offer any meals. She didn't show me the salon, but she said that they have one. I didn't see the courtyard. They had a game room.

My mother will be moving into Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. Their location is down the street from my current residence. It's a clean, nice, and well-maintained facility. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. They're probably one of the best-looking ones I've seen. They've been working with me and my wife.

NO communication with the family. It would be nice to receive a weekly email update on the loved one. Staff is rude. The food is always covered in a gravy or cheese. Not very healthy meals. They provide a flyer listing all of the activities but that is just on paper. Room was covered in dust.

Bethel Gardens is a lovely place. They're doing some renovations right now, so it is going to be really nice when they're done. The person that we spoke to was very polite and very knowledgeable. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Other than that, it is out of our price range. The rooms is small but clean.

My mother is on the memory care side of Bethel Gardens. It works very well. It's more like a home setting, which she really likes. It's always clean, and they're really great about keeping it clean. The food is good, which she really enjoys. I even went and had lunch one day with her and I enjoyed it. The staff is warm and friendly. Everybody's been very friendly and helpful. Everything's great. They have singers that comes in, they have mind activities, play word searches, she gets her hair and her nails done, which she enjoys, and they play Bingo.

We have been to Bethel Gardens. We liked the 1-room apartment. They seemed very attentive. The residents get to go on day trips because they have their own transportation. It's nice that you can bring your own things with you. The room I saw was comfortable and seemed efficient. The facility is on a busy road. It's on the main street there in Powder Springs.

My father didn’t like Bethel Gardens Assisted & Memory Care. He says the residents were just sitting around waiting to die, and he hated that. The person who assisted us was wonderful and nice. They had a game room and a salon to get their hair done.

My grandmother was a resident at Bethel Gardens for a little over 3 years. It was a wonderful place for her and our family. It is just as it says; A Home Away From Home. The care givers are loving and professional to the residents. We could have went for a bigger, newer place that offers all the bells & whistles, but went for the place that offered the love & caring that is much like home.

He's been there at Bethel Gardens for almost three years. One of the things is that it is very close to where I live. It seems fairly homey, and it was right in the little town of Powder Springs. At the time, there was a restaurant close by and some other things available for him. They have some turnarounds, but they have many people there that have been there for a very long time. They are all very caring, and the regular crew that is there has taken the time to know my dad really well. There is a lot of closeness there. His room is a nice size, and he has his own bed. Where he is, he has a nice closet, but they are not all like that. He has a small refrigerator in the room. Bethel Garden is an older facility, and it is not like some of the others. They provide some activities, but most of their people are pretty dependent. Now that my dad has started to slow up, it is a good fit for him. There really is no transportation available. They might get out once a week for lunch, but that doesn't always happen. There really isn't much for them to do. Now he can't get out since the restaurant isn't there anymore. Even though it is an older facility, the rooms are clean, and the laundry is done. They don't have an onsite RN or a LCM, but generally they help with the meds, and that is good. When he was on oxygen for a while, that was not good. I think it really dependents on what your loved one needs. My father likes to go everyday which is a problem for me because I can't do that anymore. It depends on the person that is getting the care. Bethel is like home; some days are good, and some days aren't so good. There is a lot of caring, but it is not always perfect.

I was impressed Bethel Gardens as well as their staff. Their rooms are adequate, and she is in a semi-private room. They have a very big bathroom that accommodates people like my mother.

I didn't have a problem with Bethel Gardens. But they were a little farther away from the house and not in my general direction. I thought the people were nice, but I thought the place was dated. I'm not going to say the residents were sad, but it just wasn't as upbeat. They just seem to be medicated. It just wasn't lively. The only reason I didn't really go down the path of Bethel is because the people just seem to be sedated. But I don't know that there's a whole lot they can change with that. I could have just come on a bad day. The place appeared to be clean. The other part of Bethel Gardens that kind of slightly turned me off is that they had two levels, an upstairs and downstairs. My grandfather doesn't do steps well. They hadn't determined what apartment he would have gotten, but I just didn't like the setup and the situation for him. The other thing too is my grandfather smokes cigarettes, so he needed a place where he could go outside and smoke.

The experiences I have had with the above named facility have been nothing short of wonderful. The employees are incredible people, and when my family walks out the door after visiting my grandmother, we know that she is in the hands of loving, caring, caompassionate people. The employees that work at Bethel Garden sincerely care about their residents and their well-being. For example, my grandmother is in the midst of dementia, and has had trouble falling asleep at night (actually, she cries when it is bedtime), so, there is a particular employee at this facility that will go into my grandmother's room and sit with her until she falls asleep. The employees at Bethel Garden go that extra foot, and that is most reassuring when you have a family member in their care.

My grandmother is a resident at Bethel Gardens. She has been living there for approximately 3 months. On my first visit to the facility, I was happy with the conditions of the exterior of the building and grounds. There were several residents sitting outside and greeted my family and I as we arrived. The inside of the facility is very clean and does not have the "old person" smell. There were many resident sitting in the TV room talking and doing various activities. The care staff I met was wonderful. They were very nice and attentive to the needs of the residents. The individual rooms while small were ample to meet the living needs of the residents. The facility makes sure that her medications were taken on time. They also have prayer groups, bingo, entertainment, and they ensure that she gets a perm. The facility has made an extremely difficult decision to place a family member into an assisted living environment easy. She is getting the socialization and care she needs.

When we arrived at Bethel Gardens, we were greeted by a beautiful landscape and two gentlemen enjoying the outdoors on rocking chairs. I was surprised at how happy they were; they seemed to be enjoying people watching and greeting visitors. Once inside there was a fabulous sitting area with a lovely couch, chairs and a large TV. The room was filled with people enjoying each other's company. They too seemed to be very happy and comfortable. There were two of these rooms, two lovely dining rooms and many individual rooms throughout the hallways. Each door was marked with an individual name plaque. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility as well as my grandmother's room. The workers were very attentive to her every need, which was fantastic. The room was large enough to fit many of my grandmother's things from home, this helped make the transition comfortable for her. I would recommend Bethel Gardens to anyone for the care of a loved one.
