My father has moved into Josephine's Home Away From Home. I like the professional staff, I like the homey environment, and I like diligence in which they take care of their patients. I like the many activities despite COVID. The place is set up so that he's just not stuck in a room, but he has activities, he has socialization, and he has all his medical care taken care of. They just provide excellent care. They have card playing, and he likes to do a lot of puzzles. They have a big backyard so that he can get out and exercise. With COVID, that's very important, and he can get out and exercise and walk and do those types of things. The staff members are great. The whole place is clean and homey. He has a private room, and it's beautifully decorated and comfortable. He has a privacy when he needs it. My father likes the food. He's on a low sodium and low sugar diet, so they really make the meal so appetizing. One of the reasons why he had to go to assisted living was because he didn't have consistency, but because of the consistency in the meal planning and implementation, his blood sugars are normal, and bloodwork was great, etc. So, the diet has really contributed to his well-being. He enjoys the activities, too. It's good value for the money.
