Inspired Living at Royal Palm Beach

We are choosing Inspired Living Royal Palm Beach for ourselves. I liked the community and I liked the location. I liked the newness and the cleanliness of it. Everybody that worked there was very personable. They made you feel very welcome. The rooms were very large with enough closet space for me. The woman who took me around, Christie, showed me everything and she was very knowledgeable. She was wonderful. I just liked the whole environment. It felt very homey. They had a couple of outdoor spaces on the second floor, one facing north and one facing south. They were very large, nice and quiet, and they had some nice chairs up there. And then they had that same thing downstairs all screened in. They had a little putting green and shuffleboard. We sat in the family dining room and lunch, and we enjoyed it very much.

My mother has moved into Inspired Living at Royal Palm Beach. So far, so good. The staff treats her very nicely. The salespeople were upfront and honest. I brought my mother there instead of me just reviewing the place myself. The salespeople spoke directly to my mom and found out what she likes, what she was able to do, and what her needs were. They treated her very much like the person she is, not like some file number or just some random person, so they treated her very well. The executive director came down to meet my mom and spoke with her, looking directly into her eyes and having good eye contact, which is always a good thing to do when you're trying to help someone make a decision. They conducted a very nice tour where they introduced different staff and different residents. So overall, they have a nice attitude. They didn't come across like they were just trying to sell her or something but really to welcome her into a community, so that had a lot to do with why we chose that, plus the standard care level that she might need and how it's adjustable based on any upcoming problems or improvements. My mom's room is open. We looked at several different rooms that were furnished, so you can have an idea of what it looks like with furniture in it, rather than just an empty room. The dining area is open, and it's right off the first floor. There's a menu posted right up so people can read it. They also have staff nearby, so if they have problems reading it, they can read it to you. We watched them do that to one of the residents. The food is not gourmet good, but it is good. They have a pretty healthy menu with options. They have us a list of standby things they cook every day. If you don't want the new special and you just want to go back to something, whether it's a hamburger or whatever, you can get that. If you're not doing well, you can have a bowl of soup, so you still have options. It's not regimented like hospitals are. In terms of facilities, I think the only thing missing is a pool for physical therapy. My mom hasn't participated in all of the activities yet. There are a lot more activities that they offer that my mom hasn't taken part in. But she likes the people she's met so far and she feels safe and comfortable there.

The only one I was interested in was called Inspired Living at Royal Palm Beach. It was very good. I like the size. This is larger than the others. It's clean, and it's new. I like the location, the people that I spoke with, and the parking area. It's just a nice facility. It's good for some people who need it, but I don't need it at this particular time. If I had to, it would be one I would be interested in. They have all-day dining; no specific time you have to go. They were expensive though. The staff was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. They have easy access to the parking area. It is spacious. It's a good location. Everything is just around you. The dining room is bright, cheerful, and inviting.

The tour at Inspired Living at Royal Palm Beach was very nice. The place was brand new, pretty well spotless, and the people were accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, especially the bathrooms, which were very spacious, and they have walk-in showers. The person who gave me the tour was very pleasant. Of course she was trying to sell something, but she was very nice. The dining area was beautiful, the whole place was very spacious, and it was a gorgeous place. They have a gymnasium or a workout room, big-screen TVs, there's a kitchen where families can come in and have a meal with the resident, there's a courtyard for pets, and a putting green. There are not many residents yet because the place just opened, so I didn't see any residents while I was there. The façade looked meticulous. Everything was manicured, like the grounds and all.
