I have visited 2 of my friends at different times (different years). One is still there and she is desperate to get out. The attentiveness of the staff is awful and the food is terrrible. And beside being awful, it's always cold. Both of my friends have told me the same things. If you buzz for a nurse, the average waiting time is 30 minutes. My friend who is trying to get herself signed out, said she would rather die than stay there. How can people be so cold to helpless old people? The curtain between the two patients is filthy with food stains on it. I will try to let my friend know not to go there if they have a choice!

I am/was a resident of this facility
I recently had knee replacement surgery and decided to go into a Rehab/Nursing home for the first two weeks. I had my other knee done two years ago and knew what was involved in the recovery. After looking at three rehab/nursing facilities, I selected Hunters Creek Nursing & Rehab Center. It's very clean, the staff is helpful and physical therapy/occupational therapy was awesome. I had physical therapy and/or occupational therapy approximately one hour a day for 6 days a week. If you've had a knee replacement, you know that the goal is to bend your knee at least to 120 degrees. When I left the rehab center (two weeks later), I was already bending it to 90 degrees. That really gave me a great place to start at now that I'm getting at home physical therapy.
There is certain staff that truly touched my heart. They took great care of me and were so kind. I hope I'm remembering everyone, but if I forgot someone's name, please know I did appreciate all your help. My thanks especially go out to Bernadette (Director of Nursing), Dynice (Admissions), Chris (Social Services) and everyone in Physical therapy/occupational therapy, I appreciated all the efforts of the nutrient team who worked so hard with me to help me find food selections that worked for me. (FYI - they are open to suggestions. Also, remember you could always bring food from home, or order from Uber Eats or DoorDash if the food isn't to your liking.) The nursing staff was absolutely the best - Magdali, Chantel, Nancy, Precious, Prudence, Marie, Rose and a very special thank you to Sam and Margaret Chelekatt who were absolutely wonderful.
A note to all - Sometimes we go into this type of facility and we are cranky or don't want to be there and it's all too easy to take it out on staff. I found that being pleasant and letting the staff know how much I appreciated all they were doing for me was really appreciated by them! They work hard and they have many residents/patients to take care of. So next time you want to scream or complain, try to remember that a little kindness goes a long way. Thanks!

Hunter's Creek Nursing & Rehab was excellent. They got me walking with a walker. The food was absolutely terrible, it was bad, but the staff was good. They were workable and very helpful. I was pleased by it, and the rehab was second to none. I would give the director of the rehab a double five stars. It was a really large community and was nicely done. The amenities, buildings and rooms were really nice. Outside was awesome, there's a garden, and it's a first-class nursing home. They took us on one outing when I was there. They had painting, bingo, and where they would accommodate whatever you're doing and in my case it was jewelry-work and painting. They're very helpful with that. The activities were primarily for senior citizens, so a lot of it is designed for people much older than me. They also have a hair salon, the prices were reasonable, and it was the best price I could get anywhere in the world. They have a rehab gym, but you need to be prescribed for physical therapy to use it.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My biggest complain with the organization is communication. Nursing staff seems to be bother if you inquiry about your love's one well being .
I understand it can be a difficult job and it takes lots of dedication, patient and love but it is the staff choice to choose the place they want to work and career.I have never met the doctor in charge of my family member or the nurse practitioner. If you do not bring up issues to them i.e UTI's etc they never notice and your loved one is suffering. There are a few good staff there, The CNA's are over worked, Some are good and some are not. The best part of this facility is the rehabilitation .

My daughter is there with a brain injury. I am there 4 days a week to see my daughter and make sure she is ok. She is totally immobile and requires complete care. She is an adult. Yes the facility looks better than the norm. If they would spend more money on up to date equipment for the patients than on the décor for the facility, it would be a much better place. The administration is only there for the money. I have found the social services to be pretty much useless. I have never met the doctor in charge of my daughter only the nurse practitioner. If you do not bring up issues to them i.e UTI's etc they never notice and your loved one is suffering. There are a few good staff there, The CNA's are over worked, Some are good and some are not. They are of no help in getting my daughter the assistance she needs to improve in regard to her brain injury. No neurologist, no therapy.

I'm being generous by giving this place one star. The afternoon staff were fine, but the rest were rude, arrogant and uncaring. My handicapped brother had to lie in his soiled diaper until they were good and ready to help him, even after I had to remind them numerous times. Another family member had to give him his urine bottle and clean him. The staff at that time only said,, that's why he has a diaper! If you care about your family, do not let them stay here. It's horrible.

Do not put your loved ones here. The staff is rude and don't care about the patients. My dad was there and when I walked in he was dirty and haven't been changed. They had his face in the pillow with hardly any room to breath and when we tired him over he had dried up food all over his face. Overall this place is horrible, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

My wife is in Hunter Creek Nursing and Rehab Center. We chose this because it is about 5 minutes from my house. My wife is fine there. They are very good. The staff is pretty good.

I am a past client of this provider
Hunter's Creek Nursing and Rehab is horrible. They were recommended by some nurses in the hospital when I was in Kissimmee and they had high ratings for this facility. I was only there three days. When I got there it appears they have a lot of Alzheimer's patients in there. The patients are screaming day and night for family members, they're lost, and you can hear the crying in the background at night. The CNAs need to stop and listen, and some of the nurses in the Alzheimer's and the psychiatric area need to be better trained.

The facility provided around the clock nursing service, 3 meals per day, and had activities for the residents to take part in. There was also a small courtyard located in the center of the facility. While the nurses seemed to provide my grandmother a reasonably good level of attention, my grandfather was there almost 24 hours a day, every single day, and would ensure she was being taken care of. If my grandfather was not there as often as he was, I cannot say that the level of service provided would have been as good. Despite this, mistakes were sometimes made with proper medications being administered, and the overall atmosphere and morale of both the residents and employees often seemed substandard. The rooms held either two residents or one; my grandmother stayed in a single-occupent room. The rooms seemed clean, but were very reminiscent of a hospital room.

The loop is just a mile and a half from my house and this is the main reason why I am placing my mom in this nursing home. It is very near and I can go visit anytime I want. The staff were very accommodating in showing me around. The place is big and clean. This place is the best place where I can put my mother. If they don't have a private room by the time I move her, then we'd be happy with a semi-private room.
