As someone who has lived here for almost three years, I can honestly say: LOCATION: The location truly cannot be beat. We’re minutes from major highways and have easy access to everything Orlando offers. For those who don’t drive, there’s a supermarket, doctors, and shops all within walking distance. The building also recently began offering a weekly bus service to reach places that are a bit too far on foot. SAFETY: Despite being in an urban area, this is a safe place to live. The building is well-lit and has cameras throughout. You can return home late and feel reasonably secure. PRICE: Rents are rising everywhere, and this community is no exception, but the value remains solid. There are no additional electric, water, or Wi-Fi bills—everything is included in the rent, which simplifies budgeting. STAFF: The building recently went through a major staff turnover, and I believe they’ve struck gold with the new property manager, maintenance team, and front desk staff. Their presence has made a noticeable difference. BUILDING: Yes, the building is older, and like anything older, it has its quirks. However, the new owners are working diligently to make meaningful upgrades. They removed the rarely used movie room and office, and are installing a gym many residents are excited about. The community room and elevators are also undergoing improvements. The mailroom has been moved, and Amazon delivery boxes are coming soon. TENANTS: The community includes long-term tenants who now need a bit of assistance, along with an increasing number of working and semi-retired adults. It’s a diverse, evolving mix.

This place was terrific! The bus was steps away and has shopping centers close by - Yasmin and Diane were always available to help residents , planned many a party and are the greatest - it was an extremely difficult decision I made when I had to leave - highly recommended

Hillcrest Hampton House's apartments were too small. There wasn't any income restriction to it. It was nicely centered, but they don't have any transportation needs. The things they offered were very nice. You bring your own furniture. The price wasn't that bad, it was very reasonable. We just didn?t feel comfortable with it since it was too small.

At the time, we looked for a low-income facility and we chose Hillcrest Hampton House. However, I did not think they will be in that category in the future and I thought their rate would go up. The staff was wonderful. The facility was very nice and better than average. It was not just walls, there was a lot of ambience to it. There were about 150 rooms which can either be one-bedroom or efficiency, and the one-bedroom was about 800 sq. ft. They also inspected the rooms every three months. You were free to join some things they did or you could stay by yourself. They used to have dinners where they all brought food like on Thanksgiving or major holidays. But other than that they did not get eveybody together to go on trips or anything.

I stayed at Hillcrest Hampton House until I could transfer to a facility that I would be accepted when I am 62 years old. Nobody was happy here. I don't think I belonged here because I am only 60 years old. Most residents were old who just sat and were mean. It was not a friendly place. It has nothing to offer. The only activity was bingo. The staff were ignorant, they did not care about us. They treated us like children. Although the maintenance people were very nice. Residents constantly moved out of the facility.
