"The took walked us around Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. He was nice, but he really didn't have a whole lot of answers on everything and they only had two-bedroom homes instead of one- bedroom homes. However it's a small community, so it's easier for them to keep track of who you are and what you need. The place itself was nice. We were impressed with it. It was just a little too pricey for us."

"The Village Veranda at Lady Lake was beautiful. I was very impressed with it. It would be a consideration. I was just impressed with the whole facility. The person who gave the tour was very friendly and provided all the information that answered all my questions. The room we saw was adequate, I looked at a 1-bedroom and it would be quite an adjustment, but it was sufficient. I did not eat any food there, but the dining area was very pretty and very neat. There seemed to be plenty of amenities, and there were sufficient activities for those that wanted to participate. There was a game playing, and there was a crafts room."

"It is very nice, very good, and I liked it. It's in the vicinity, which is very convenient to our existing doctor, hospital, and medication servers. They gave a tour, they served snacks, and it was very nice. We enjoyed it. They have coffee available in the lobby, and we saw the people walking around. There were very nice clients, and it's probably one of the best communities we saw."

"Vitality Living Lake Forest was a beautiful facility. It was just the type of facility that I thought would overwhelm my mom and my aunt. It was very, very large. It meant that they would have to take elevators everywhere they went, and that was just way too much for them. The person who worked there was wonderful. The rooms were very nice. They did not have a 2-bedroom apartment available. We decided that it would be OK if they had rooms across the hall from each other, and they were very willing to accommodate that. There was a very small refrigerator and a microwave. In the assisted living part, there was no place for any cooking other than a microwave, which was for safety. The staff was knowledgeable about the facility. She understood what we were looking for and why we were looking for it. She really seemed to know people and her clients very well. I would certainly recommend it."

"I went to Florida Golden Adult Care. I didn't talk to the staff that much. They are not really welcoming. They have a gym. They have a place outside where the residents can sit down. It's like a little park area. The upkeep is good."

"I think Chambrel at Island Lake is quite an attractive facility. It looks like the apartments are nice. We only dealt with one person and she was very knowledgeable and very helpful. "

"We like Bridgeport Senior Living-Port Cardiff Llc because it's an actual home environment and they've got a couple of caregivers for every three people. They're making sure mom gets up and gets out into the living room with everybody else or out of the kitchen when they're eating and stuff. They keep it very spotless there and it's just a pretty home. The outdoors is very beautiful. It's very pretty going there, on the front side and the back side. It's been too hot to sit out on the porch right now, but they've got pretty birds back there. The landscape is very pretty. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Amanda oversees the home and recently we had to have a mobile dental service come in and she tries to make sure she's there or is aware of what's going on. When I can't be there, I know that she tries to be there for those extra services. She had to have an in-house X-ray done and I happened to be there when they were doing that. They're very nice and very sweet people. We just moved mom from one side of the room to the other side and they went ahead and did that for us. They made sure that her bed was moved over and everything was moved over for her. They have bathrooms where they give them showers, a nice living room, and several reclining chairs so that the residents can sit in a nice chair while they're in the living room. It's like your normal house so it doesn't feel like you're in a hospital or something. I know they have a menu that they try to go by, but if they don't like the food, they try to accommodate what they like. I know they have served her oatmeal for breakfast, for instance, because they know she likes oatmeal. They have activities for them to get involved with, which is nice. They bring in people and Amanda has sent me pictures of my mom doing some of the activities. The price we pay is up there with the other bigger facilities, probably about the same, but she's getting more attention and they get to know each other in the home because it's on a smaller scale."

"I liked the fact that Brookdale Lake Mary had a smaller memory care unit that was very centralized and very nice. The staff seemed very nice, too. A lot of the residents that I saw all looked good. Brookdale is multilevel, but their memory care is contained on one level, so they would not need to be taken to other levels. The rooms were really nice and laid out very well. We saw some of the residents doing some activities."

"I toured the Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs. There's nothing to dislike. Everything is great. The place was cool. It was nice. They were very attentive to the people who live there, the patients. The schedule was on point. They had it posted. So, you're aware of what's going on. They posted the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I like that. The staff was great with the clients. They were pleasant. The guy who did the interview knew his job and what he was doing, and he explained everything. The other staff members were great. I didn't taste the food, but the display they had looked good. The facility was clean, it's pretty decorated, and everything was organized."
