We went to visit the Courtyard Manor assisted living facility since we were already in the region, looking at places for my friend's mother to live. The outside grounds were colorful and bright. The area around the main door was nicely kept, with flower beds and well manicured grass. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. The communal areas all had interesting activities occurring, from reading to games and resident interactions. It was clear that the residents enjoy living here. It was also clear that they can handle different levels of ambulation and memory impairment. The residents go on trips to visit the many recreational hubs such as art galleries and museums, eateries and events like fairs and festivals. The private rooms were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize to each resident's tastes. Residents enjoy a restaurant dining experience with original culinary and traditional creations and a wide variety of meal options. The nice atmosphere makes the dining experience pleasant. We could really see that the residents are treated with care, kindness and respect so that they are very well cared for at all times.
